Everything was very fine - even if the accommodation is not yet perfect and still missing some finalization. But I was very happy at your place and I can recommend Maweni absolutly especially for guests just coming by ferry boat as you could reach Maweni in a couple of minutes by food, as well very close to the Mafia airport. All the nice food and the taking care of everything I really appreciated. I was very amazed about the taking care of the beach and the garden every day, the view and the nice and open location. Excellent friendly staff with Hassan the manager being excellent. Great food at affordable prices, especially dinner. The seafood and soups are excellent with generous portions. They lend you bikes to get to and from the beach and dive shops. No air-conditioning in the room but with the fan it was fine as the stone used kept it cool. The showers have working hot water and the room was bigger then expected. They also do laundry where you just tip what's fair depending how much you wash.
With sea views, Mafia Beach Bungalows sea view is located in Utende and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace.

The chef prepared an awesome breakfast and can makes great mishkaki and samosas. The rooms are very clean and have air condition. The staff is always ready to help with any situation and the manager speaks English.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Beautiful new and well appointed hotel. Crisp laundry and spotless towels. Attentive and helpful staff. Beautiful infinity pool overlooking the sea. A place for peace and quiet - esp beach combing and bird watching along the mangrove fringed shore.
Ally is a very good host that tries his best to help and make you feel at home. I had the room with own bathroom and it was big and comfy. Staff makes really nice food. A bit of a walk to the nice beaches but cheap to go there by motorbike. Friendly people in the lokal area. Definitely one of the cheapest accommodation around. Buy a local SIM to have access to the Internet. Cold showers. Tours can be booked from here.

Beautifully maintained, green and peaceful, very very kind and helpful staff, care for nature and animals (Pablo the dog was cute and friendly as well), well decorated, easy to move around with tuktuk, local beach nearby... and we were almost the only ones staying, so it was pleasant and quiet
Mr Ally Mgeni and his team were super nice and super helpful from the beginning, also with supporting the transport by public ferry which is not so easy to handle as a non local.
Had a nice stay in this quite area which is though in walking distance to the airport and to the city center
I absolutely loved the beach front location, my comfortable bungalow and the friendliness of the staff. I was impressed by how they were able to organize everything without me searching for the whale sharks safari boat trip, diving and private boda-bod drivers to explore the island. Everything was taken care of.

1. Staff: all are very friendly, nice and helpful. Major plus for this place and they have taken good care of us. THANKS!
2. Proximity to the beach, strolling along the beach during sunset has been really relaxing and the views were great
3. Great whaleshark snorkeling tour with Captain Kino. Swam with lots of whalesharks and the price is better than other places too. Don't miss this!
4. Food and drinks of the restaurant are much cheaper than nearby places and are of good quality.

it’s private, spacious and fits well with the nature. The bed is comfortable, staff vas very nice and yummy food. There is a choice of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner and fresh fruits available. Th ask pretty much all what we eaten the whole time and was really delicious. There is also a bar and bed hammocks which was great for relaxing. Hassan the host Organise a whale shark tour for us which we really enjoyed as that was the main reason. for visiting Mafia.
