We loved everything about Casa Da Eira Longa. Our hostess made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived and her warm hospitality continued throughout our stay. She went far beyond what was necessary, providing extra fruit, pastries and juices so we could picnic while out hiking. She gave us great advice on places to visit and restaurants in the area. We shared warm conversations. The grounds and rooms are great examples of traditional Portuguese fine craftsmanship, full of rich wood and stone and decorated with lovely plants and flowers.

I have now stayed here twice. Once in a superior room - fantastic. and once in a standard room - good apart from the shower curtain. But its a fantastic building in a great location and the owner is really friendly. If you have paid ahead you only need the code to get into the house and to your room. This is all supplied via WhatsApp - very sensible.
The hotel is a fairytale castle equipped with all the modern conveniences for comfort and luxury. Special mention for the quality of the food, which was exceptional throughout the duration of our stay.
The bedding is exceptional, the in room wifi and entertainment are also flawless.
