I loved everything about this house. I also loved the fact that it was right across from my cousins house and two door down where my grandparents and my mother lived. It was such a great idea location for everything I needed to do. Tony was amazing by way.

*** Wow!! What an Truly Unforgettable stay at Idonea***
Idonea is infinitely beautiful—overlooking the vast, sparkling ocean, lush gardens, and the charming small farm that supplies its exquisite farm-to-table meals. This brand-new boutique hotel on São Miguel is part of the incredible new adventures of the fabulous host, Pete, who has created a true paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were cradled in comfort, enveloped by breathtaking views and a serene setting that made exploring the island so easy.
One of the standout experiences was the gourmet, farm-to-table dinners, prepared with such artistry by the amazing Chef Ludo. Organized by Pete with a small number of people attending from different hotels or accommodations Pete made the experience feel like a wonderful dinner party. The meals were nothing short of spectacular—fresh, flavorful, and bursting with creativity. Along with the fabulous food, Pete took us on a journey through Portugal’s finest wines with his deep knowledge and passion for both the wine and the cuisine of the Azores. Every tasting was a masterclass in flavor, leaving us in awe of the culinary craftsmanship and wine wisdom at Idonea.
Beyond the beauty of the location and the food, it was Pete’s gracious, friendly hospitality that made our stay extraordinary. He made us feel like old friends from the moment we arrived, offering expert advice on where to explore on the island and ensuring that we were always comfortable and cared for. We left feeling so fortunate to have found Idena for our September getaway—it truly exceeded every expectation.
If you’re lucky enough to stay at Idena, prepare to be swept away by the beauty, the incredible food, and the warmest hospitality from Pete and his team. An absolute 10 out of 10—an unforgettable stay!

The property is much more breathtaking than the pictures. On a clear evening it provides the most beautiful sunset. Sandra the host, is a fabulous person and made sure that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed.
Located in Povoação village, this restored former school sits on the lush landscape of Azores. The pet-friendly Quinta Atlantis offers modern rooms and Atlantic Ocean views from a distance.

The staff and the owners were so friendly and so willing to help with any big detail or small detail.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Our stay at Quinta Atlantis was perfect, the location is great for exploring the eastern part of the island, the house and room were clean and spacious and the home made breakfast was excellent! Adelia and Guy are great hosts and gave us plenty of advice for exploring the surroundings.
The property is amazing. Everything is thought of, never been in such a well equipped rental. It’s been very professionally and beautifully finished. The beds are comfortable and the location is very calm and private. Mario, the host, is extremely helpful. We had some issues with our rental bikes and he lent us tools and fixed a tire, and pointed us in the right direction for a shop to get it replaced. Everyone in the area spoke English very well and was extremely helpful. There are many supermarkets and shops close by.
This is probably the best place I stayed in throughout my visit to the Azores (there were 6 places in total).
Fatima is a fantastic host, with a passion for hospitality. She was exceptionally caring and made sure to give me a taste of the local products every breakfast.
The place is located in a nice, quiet village, in a renovated building. The room was very big and nicely decorated (with local flowers) and there was even a nice balcony facing the local greenery.
I would highly recommend this place.
Thank you Fatima for your hospitality.
We where traveling around the islands for 2 weeks when we booked our apartment at Vista do Topo. Without a doubt the best place we found in those 2 weeks. Very clean and large apartment, with the most friendly host you can imagine. The first day we forgot to buy some cooking oil at the supermarket but Cosmin went all the way down to buy it for us. The view from the terrace is really amazing! If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this is it.
Very friendly host who really cares about her guests. Providing local knowledge and local produce for breakfast which was very appreciated. We really liked the home made jams, local bread and cheese selections.
It was very quiet and peaceful up there in the village. Private parking was convenient. Also for our baby, everything we needed was provided.
We loved this hotel!!! It's in a really quiet cute little town. There's not lots going on but it has everything you need to have a lovely time - a couple of restaurants, a pool, a nice beach.
The hotel is in a great location, right on the harbour so we could sit on the balcony and watch the world go by.
The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast is nice. The pool area is good with a lovely and hot jacuzzi.
We ate at the bar too which was tasty and a reasonable price.
I would recommend this hotel!
