Havenlee Homestay should be called Heavenly Homestay because that was what it was. Our hosts, Jan and Ian, were charming and made us very welcome. The facilities, cleanliness and breakfast were all fantastic but it was the attention to detail that impressed us the most. It was a real home away from home. Highly recommended!

What a gem. Sarah’s attention to detail is second to none. She had a welcome board with our names, welcome chocolates, as well as everything one may need for a stay - umbrellas, first aid kit, condiments and a range of kitchen equipment. We had notified her of my husband’s allergy so she labelled all the cereals and cut out the list of ingredients from the boxes! She is knowledgeable about the area and is a joy to chat with. The breakfast was superb- lots of fruit, eggs, yogurt, juice, toast and cereals. We were spoilt.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Has a peculiar ambience but comfortable enough for the one night stay. Be mindful that the Receptionist may not be local so you’ll have to find out information about the facilities or area on your own or elsewhere. Friendly, quiet, private enough, clean, safe. It is a backpackers/hostel so don’t expect a five star treatment.
Homely atmosphere with thoughtful little touches like a welcoming chocolate and fresh flowers. Super clean and comfortable. Very friendly helpful hosts. Excellent breakfast. Close to a few restaurants and a seal colony, the quiet location suited us perfectly.

Easy to find and in a quiet location. Stayed in the stand-alone unit which felt quite private. Great welcome from the owner and other staff were friendly and helpful.
Loved the breakfast in communal dining room. Pam is a great host. Great location, quiet, peaceful, you can hear the sea. Pub just across the road for a great meal. Would definitely stay longer our next visit.
