It’s set in the most beautiful garden and is really well equipped and immaculately clean. Host was very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Breakfast and cakes much appreciated. Walk to waterfall was well signed and well worth the walk. Didn’t want to leave ! Very good value for money.

Carmel Farm is a beautiful property and Barbara and Leo couldn't have been more welcoming and accomodating. They took my 13 year old nephew out at the crack of dawn to feed the calves and take part in the morning chores on the farm - he had an incredible time and hasn't stopped talking about it since! We were made to feel so welcome and enjoyed great chats over a glass of wine in the evening and over the beautiful breakfast Barabara prepared for us in the morning. Would recommend a visit to anyone!

Excellent accomodation. The room is comfortable and bright, and the care and attention in arranging the room was obvious. Several breakfast options are placed in the room, along with a mini fridge containing yogurt and pitchers of milk and juice. the location itself is stunning, with beautiful views and an exceptional opportunity to see the night sky without intense light pollution.

We didn't stay for breakfast, but those who were sharing theirs looked to be happy and enjoying the experience.
We only got there after dark and left first thing, but the place was just fine inside and the view we enjoyed before we left was stunning. I'll be back.

Great location in beautiful countryside near the Waitomo Caves tours and Te Kuiti township. Lovely accommodation... Beautifully appointed, spacious, warm and welcoming. The hosts also were warm and welcoming. We had a memorable and lovely stay...longer would have been great.
It was a lovely room overlooking the railway (lovely plants around), nice and quiet, private, clean, lovely layout with a little balcony. Heater was perfect, helpful and friendly staff. Close to the caves. A lovely stay.
Lovely quiet cottage, beautiful gardens, excellent breakfast included, friendly host - there was nothing we didn't like. A must stop for keen gardeners but recommended for anyone. Wish we could have stayed longer & we would happily visit again.
