I felt extremely welcome and comfortable staying here. I had a delay with the trains coming from Denmark, and it was a relief that the owner, Frederiek, communicated well and responded in a timely manner to my messages. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and was also given advice for places to go and what to see during my stay. The room was very clean and I had my own private toilet right outside the room.

Really incredible place! I expected it to be a "neat gimmick" but actually everything about it was fantastic (including the gimmick). Slept well, very comfortable normal bed, good shower, kitchenette is fine for a few days, location is both convenient for both car (free parking directly at the boat) and public transport. Lots of stuff within walking distance. Quiet. The outdoor "terrace" on the top of the boat is an amazing spot for eating and just hanging out. Absolutely loved our stay and wish we had spent longer. Apparently it is comfortable and warm when in winter - and there is a modern connected gas radiator in the living area.
Checkin was great. The woman who checked us in (Teddy’s … sister?) was very friendly and also brought us beers and some fresh fruit.
Really an outstanding stay. I wish we had spent all 3 days of our trip to North Holland here!

fantastic beds, separate entrance, excellent management, asking questions to ensuring a great stay, offering an excellent steakhouse with great fish and vegetarian options on the main floor below the guest bedrooms. Over the past 5 years I have stayed at most hotel and B&B venues in Castricum and I can honestly say that I definitely know that this will be the place I will stay at next time I’m in town.

This was a nice surprise. There were only three rooms and even though the place was old it was well maintained and comfortable. The shared kitchen was well-appointed and the food for breakfast was generous and varied. We even had a nice private terrace to sit at the waterside.
Oh! And walking distance to the Zaanse Schans!

What a fantastic place to stay in the Netherlands! It's run by a mother and daughter duo and they were wonderful hosts! They were so nice and friendly and they made our stay a delight!
The breakfast was spectacular. Home made jam, amazing! Eggs from the chickens out the back. Fresh coffee and juice on demand, the best hosts in the Netherlands!

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
The private terrace was divine! Even though we did not get breakfast with our stay, Sophia offered us a huge basket full of everything from muffins to fruit, as well as stuffed our fridge with eggs, ham, cheese, milk, orange juice etc.
She made us feel like at home and her daughter played with my 5 year old daughter. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Also, following Sophia’s instructions, we arrived in Amsterdam in 25 minutes!

A very lovely place and very lovely people. Very help full and the breakfast was just lovely and thank you. Easy place to stay as close to so many places tourists want to travel too. The beautiful unit is then a very quiet and personal place to relax very easy. I would have no problem staying there again. Thank you
Beautiful location; both quiet but also super nice for my 4 year old daughter. We enjoyed feeding and petting the farm animals. Very nice view and gorgeous sunset

the room was presented very well, with a traditional theme, lovely and cosy
location is around 15mins from the airport or 25mins to circuit Zandvoort
