I recently had the pleasure of staying at Green Gregory Villa in Nuwara Eliya with my wife, and it was an incredible experience. The view from the guest house is simply amazing, surrounded by breathtaking mountains. The peaceful environment added to the charm, making it a perfect retreat. Romeni and her parents are such sweethearts! They made us feel at home from the first minute on. Their home made food was delicious and the room nice and clean. I had a cold when we arrived and they even prepared fresh lemon tea for me with lemons from their own garden.
The 3,5h hiking Tour with Romeni’s dad was great. He showed us the cloudforest, tea plantages and some old villages. We can totally recommend staying with this lovely family!

Great location for walking along the railway line, making it very good if catching the train for the scenic trip Nanu Oya to Ella.or to Kandy. He enabled us to check in a little earlier and gave us a few ideas of things to do, such as walking to the local waterfall. He would have cooked an evening meal for us but we chose a place in the village where there were a lot of locals eating.
A very nice place to stay in a quiet place close to the train station. The surroundings are very beautiful, and they are very well connected with Nuwara Eliya. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, everything was very clean and family always did their best. Of course, I will repeat.
Very friendly host, rooms in the family home. Excellent food. Tea and cake on arrival. Clean comfy room, hot water shower, quiet location amongst tea bushes but also close to station.
lovely family, very friendly. we actually didnt stay there over night and just stored out luggage during the day, as it was pretty cheap, but the rooms where clean, as well as the bathroom. 5 min drive to the city center or train station.
Very lovely Place! It’s on the outskirts of the village and very quiet, lovely view of the area. The owner are super sweet, ofer a free shuttle service and the dinner and breakfast were delicious homecooked meals 🥰. Bed very comfortable and everything is super clean. Anytime again!
We arrived in the evening and used this homestay as a way to catch an early train from Nanu Oya to Ella. It was great for that purpose.

Host is accommodating and cooked us dinner and breakfast.
Nano Oya is a very quiet place but it is beautiful. Before the train we went on a lovely walk amongst
the tea plantations.
