Amazing friendly people!
Delicious food (we had the all-inclusive option and breakfast, lunch and Dinner was very well cooked and delicious).
Super clean und comfortable tents and cabins.
It is a community based project; eg children profit from the generated income.
It is located only 5 minutes away from Sekenani Gate. Therefore it is perfectly suited to stay here for 2/3 nights and to do a game drive to Maasai Mara (160$ per car). Please note to bring enough cash to pay the entrance fee of 100 or 200$/person to the Maasai Mara (credit card usually does not work).
We booked the game drive with Semadep Safari Camp and we had an amazing game drive day with Dennis (guide) and Jhon (Driver). Both of them are so wonderful people and showed us so many animals. We had our Breakfast and lunch during the safari since we left 5:45. Both was very well prepared from Semadep chef.

“We had the great pleasure of staying at the Leruk Masai Mara Camp, and it was truly an authentic safari experience! The camp is located right in a Masai village, providing a unique insight into the modern-day Masai culture. The accommodation consists of a single large tent with an integrated bathroom – simple yet equipped with everything you need, including electricity and hot running water.
The food was basic but delicious, and the friendliness of the staff, especially the night watchman who also prepared a cozy campfire in the evenings, made our stay truly special. The camp offers a genuine bush feeling and allows you to experience nature up close.
A highlight of our trip was the spectacular safari, led by the highly knowledgeable guides John and Jacob, whose expertise greatly enhanced our experience. A two-day safari is highly recommended to explore the different habitats of the animals in the Masai Mara.
The nature walk was also a fantastic experience, bringing us even closer to the beauty of the surroundings. However, a visit to a Masai village is mainly worth it for souvenir enthusiasts.
Overall, a fantastic experience for anyone looking for an authentic safari off the beaten path. We would love to come back!

We loved everything. The location is amazing, only 3min away from Maasai Mara park entry, and within a real Maasai village. The accomation was great too, as shown in the announce photos. You can also book meals for lunch and dinners, that you can eat "to stay" in their restaurant or "to go" for game drives, which is really practical. But mostly, our hosts exceeded our expectations: Paul has been a true help throughout all our stay (including helping us find, before/after coming, drivers, matatus... Our safety and comfort was his first priority), Levis made us discover the Maasai culture during nature walks (walking in the village, playing with kids, explaining how trees can be used for day-to-day purposes...) and went with us during our first safari to help us spot animals (we saw so many of them!), Emily was so caring with us that we felt really comfortable (she took great care of our room, of us during meals, and even made us wonderful bracelets), we had great conversations with Lawrence to better understand Kenya (especially at night in front of bonfires), and the chef cooks delicious meals (we are vegetarian and it was not a problem at all). If you book the place, ask to go on safaris with them directly instead of taking another guide: not doing so is our only regret. Really 100% recommend this guest house!

Levis, Elija and the rest of the guys are amazing: welcoming, kind, respectful and ready to help you with any need you could have.
Beside the business, they work hard for the well-being of their community.
Place is warm and cozy and the food cooked by Elija is really tasty.
If we were to come back to visit Mara, we would definitely stay here again.
Also, the cat is lovely!

It was one of the best experiences we had!! They have a chef that cooks every meal during the day. The food was delicious, and they packed our breakfast and lunch for the safari day. They have a private Land Cruiser to go to the safari, and they take care of everything. You don’t need to worry about anything, as they organize everything for you.
The house is very comfortable, cozy and clean. We had a big bathroom, hot water and the bed was super comfortable. If we go back to Kenya, we will definitely go again!!!

We had an absolutely brilliant time staying with John, Dennis, Jacob and their family. They were so welcoming and generous with their time, sharing stories and teaching about the Maasai culture around the campfire and over meals. The nature walk/hike and game drive were exceptional, the knowledge all the guys have is second to none. The accommodation is basic but you come here for the unique experience, not for luxury. Highly recommend!
Amazing place. The luxury tents are actually really good, clean and super comfortable + we get a view of the sunrise. Love the nature all around including within the lodge grounds. Would definitely return.
We absolutely loved Tayari Luxury Tented Camp. As they said when we arrived it felt like a home away from home. We directly had a really nice connection with the team and were always taken care of in the nicest way.
The tents are really nicely designed and nicely arranged so that you feel like you are alone between the trees.
I highly recommend!
Everything! it’s a quiet jungle residence with lots of greensand trees, you can see monkeys everyday, sometimes cows and even elephant near the residence. The staff is the best, tried everything to make us comfortable. The Drunken Elephants is so near the Serengeti Gate only 10 Minute with car. We’ve spent 3 most wonderful days here♥️
