Killurin Lodge, hotel in Wexford

Set in beautiful and peaceful gardens, Killurin Lodge is nestled in the Slaney Valley in the heart of County Wexford.

We were celebrating a birthday on the day we arrived at Killurin and we came with our own wine and charcuterie fixings to enjoy a quiet evening in. Clare set out wine glasses for us and cleared us a spot in the dining room for our little celebration. It was much appreciated. There was a pub within walking distance, and we saw some of the other guests heading that way, but we happily stayed in.

Oak Tree Lane Country B and B, hotel in Bridgetown

Oak Tree Lane Country B and B in Bridgetown provides accommodations with a garden and a shared lounge. There's a spa and wellness center with a sauna, a hot tub, and a wellness packages.

The property is modern and well appointed. The size of the rooms and bathrooms are spacious; which after traveling for a week in Ireland it was nice to get a bit of room to move. The location is a bit further from Wexford, but in the end that was fine. There are nearby restaurants, I especially recommend Mary Barry’s. The food was really good and the staff accommodating. The super highlight for your stay, besides the loveliness of the owners, will be the Irish Breakfast. It was astounding, delicious and filling; and as an American I’m really beginning to love the black and white puddings.
