Lavally House is a great choice of location to overnight on a long road trip. It has gated parking and very close to main street in Gort.
The bedrooms are ensuite, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. Hosts Michael and Adrian have great taste in interior design.
I highly recommend this property.
I loved it so much that I came back and stayed again on my return road trip.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and clean. The location is a good base for exploring Galway, the Aran islands and Connemara

The owners were extremely friendly, we were with a 2yo kid and they heated the room before our arrival to make it comfortable to sleep (and we didn't ask for that). Also recommended some attractions on our route.
Breakfast was big, fresh and delicious.
Nice room and large beds.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Josephine (the host) is the best!!! So welcoming, funny and nice! We had a really good time with her.
Breakfast is great, room tiny but tidy and clean and really nice.
The place is lovely and there is an interesting and beautiful and charming historical site, Kilmacdaugh, on the other side of the road.
Josephine gave us as a farewell gift delicious chocolate sweets that she made herself.
You can reach Gort in less than 10 minutes by car.
We really loved to meet Josephine and her husband!
Recommended!
Location (Burren, heart of countryside), Quietness( other than nearby cows), layout of interior & decor, gardens & Outside space.. A gem of a place!!. Soft towels, homemade brown bread (delish!) & fresh eggs, selection of herbal teas available too.
Claire & Norah terrific hosts
Great location for exploring the Burren and Wild Atlantic Way. Spotless room and a lovely home cooked breakfast. It was a pleasure to stay at Josephine & Pat’s B&B.
Well located. Nice and charming house near the Burren. Josephine is very welcoming, helpful and easy going. We were delighted to meet her and her husband. They gave us tips and advices to find a restaurant and to have a wonderful time by the cliffs of Moher. The room is quiet and confortable with a view on the Burren. The breakfast was perfect as well. We were treated like Kings and we'll keep wonderful memories of our stay at Josephine's house. Thanks again. Cheers. Xavier and Tiphaine.
A nice, quiet, clean place with a wonderful location. Excellent breakfast and everything with the greatest care and atention. Will repeat for sure.
El mejor sitio para alojarse al oeste de Irlanda.

Good clean quiet room.
Good location, near from Moher / Galway, and even with an interesting old abbey at walking distance.
Excellent breakfast.
Free parking.
Nice owner.
Josephine is a charming, friendly and helpful host and does her best to make you feel at home.
Like others already stated: directly next to a landmark (Kilmacduagh Abbey/Monastery with round tower).
The room I was in was tasteful, beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It had a small private bathroom. The shower pressure is amazing, by the way.
Josephine made me a fresh fruit salad most days and a cooked breakfast once or twice. Both were really good start to the day.
It's a great location and I used it as a base to see The Burren, go to the Aran Islands, visit family near Ennis, shop in Galway.
Coole Park which is near Gort was a beautiful place to walk. There were lovely walks around the roads near the BnB too and I enjoyed my hour of morning walk along the stone-fenced roads usually only observed by the cows!
