Ronnie met us at the door with a warm welcome and invited us into his and Armans home and what a grand home it is. He showed us the downstairs, the sitting room and the breakfast area and then to our delight introduced us to George and Teddy, father and son golden doodles which really tickled us both as we were already missing our pup at home. He showed us to our booked room then gave us the choice of a bigger beautiful room with a wonderful waterfront view. Breakfast is made to order each morning and is top notch! He had day trip suggestions that were spot on and we enjoyed them. In the evenings he had dining recommendations that were wonderful even offering to take us to and fro in case we wanted to have an extra cocktail. We were so wowed by Ronnie and Arman that we both just can’t say enough. The last evening was the most special surprise of all as they invited us to dine with them and enjoy a wonderful meal especially prepared by Ronnie while Arman picked out some wines to accompany the wonderful meal.We visited for almost 4 hours. It was a truly memorable end to a wonderful stay. We can’t recommend Oakhurst Guesthouse enough! Thanks Ronnie and Arman. We will never forget our stay with the two of you!

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with loads of choice and options. The owner was so full of local knowledge and full of tips of where to walk locally. Lovely gent!
The bedding was really comfy with ample supplies of tea and coffee making facilities. We really felt welcomed and the staff went out of their way to make us feel so.
We`d definitely visit this beautiful little seaside village again. Loads of shells on the beach and even seals to watch.
Ballycotton is well worth a visit, no shop but fantastic eateries, comedy club and very friendly people.
The velux window had a remote closure which my daughter enjoyed. (she`s an adult).
It`s all about location..........Definitely walk from Schooner`s down across the road to collect beautiful shells and different stones. Walk further along towards the pier. True inspiration for any artist!
Ignore that ugly eye-sore of a "house" that ruins the views as you walk towards the "cliff walk"......Probably cost a fortune and can`t understand how that eye-sore got planning permission in such a beautiful location........"Ugly wealth" I call it!

Everything was wonderful here. Super friendly hosts, very accommodating. Dinny and Sue made us feel very welcome, and were eager to make sure we enjoyed our stay not just at their home, but in Cork and Ireland. They were a wealth of information on things to do, with tips and tricks. Our room was very nice, it had been remodeled recently and was very modern and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Ideal location, there’s a bus stop right there, City Center is maybe 5-7 minute taxi ride away to where we came in on train and also where we took off on our Paddywagon tour. There’s also a pub right on the corner and a nice restaurant walking distance. The breakfast has a lot of options for whatever you are in the mood for, and is very good and a nice chance to relax and to talk to the hosts. We hope to come back to Ireland in a few years to see more of the country, and would love to reach out to Dinny and Sue and see if they had availability for us to stay there again. Cork is a great home base to see Cork itself, but also to make day trips out from there. We loved this place and recommend reaching out to Dinny and Sue directly on WhatsApp!

Cozy room with small private bathroom. On site parking. Quiet location with lovely garden and view of water. Continental breakfast with limited hot items.
Great location. Mary was a great host; She was very friendly, and nothing was too much. A nice touch was that we had freshly cooked croissants outside our room each morning of our stay.
