Set in a Georgian property, once home to poetess Mary Jane Irwin, An Sugan is a family-run guesthouse and seafood restaurant.

The location excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. The lady who booked us in and served dinner was brilliant. I had two special requests last minute and she sorted both without hesitation. Exceptional

Saint Martin's Bed and Breakfast, hotel in Bandon

Featuring inner courtyard views, Saint Martin's Bed and Breakfast provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 29 km from University College Cork.

I had a lovely stay and Denis is an exceptional host. The house is within walking distance of town and the facilities are as described in the adverts. The freshly cooked breakfast was delicious, and with fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, fruit juice, cereals, bread, brack and toast even I couldn’t finish everything that was laid out for me. The various pets made the place even more homely and little Izzy always seemed pleased to see me. I would certainly return if back in Bandon.

Excellent breakfast. Very helpful staff. Beautiful old decor - others might think it dated- I thought it was charming and just delightful. Full of character unlike the hotel chains. Write special actually. Sorry to miss their trad session on Tuesday night. Real fires to die for!

It was fab. Great location in the centre of Clonakilty, the main man that I think might be the owner was so lovely, nothing was a problem for him, the breakfast was tasty & many options, we actually ate in the pub one night too & that was great, the pub is so cute & cosy. We had a twin room which was clean, quiet & the beds/duvets were so comfy! I’d defo stay here again if ever back in Clonakilty!

Great location, right in the centre of town, with parking at the rear of the building. Large comfortable room with lots of lighting - so many hotels have really inadequate lighting in their rooms for anybody who wants to work or write. Excellent breakfast as well. I would be happy to stay again whenever I'm in the area
