The breakfasts were superb, starting with fresh fruit juice, fresh fruit salad and yogurts, then a delicious cooked breakfast with toasted home made bread. The private dining room/sitting room was very spacious with a log burner. Lovely bedroom with a really comfortable bed, large bathroom with walk in shower and traditional bath. The hosts were delightful, very welcoming and hospitable.

Our family was very satisfied with this stay. The environment was beautiful, and the place was tidy. Not only did they provide breakfast, but they also offered board games for the kids to enjoy. Moreover, the nearby beach was just a half-hour drive away. Overall, we were very happy with the experience.

The Ostrich Pub, hotel in Swaffham

Located just 49 km from Blickling Hall, The Ostrich Pub features accommodation in Castle Acre with access to a garden, a bar, as well as luggage storage space.

The Ostrich is quirky and pleasantly unpretentious, and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. We felt really relaxed there. The bed was very comfortable, and the room very spacious. We appreciated the simple decor and the natural materials used in the bedroom, as well as the refillable soap and shampoo bottles, and the handmade signage and decorations on the outside of the bedroom doors!

Excellent location. Very quiet but a couple of minutes from town. Private parking. No restaurant, but owner provides packed breakfast. Owner kindly put us in an upgraded room as our original room would have been too hot in the sunny weather. Well appointed room, comfortable bed etc. No complaints.
