Amazing location just outside Stromness. Beautiful views of the bay and the hills. Lovely guest living room that we had to ourselves being the only guests at the time. Lovely breakfast with stunning views. And let’s not forget the gorgeous Tyson who my wife would have happily took home! Next time we return to Orkney we will definitely be looking to book back in.

Arriving late off the Northlink ferry is sometimes a challenge for getting booked into places and obtaining keys and parking can be an issue. This however was perfect with its own car park and the room keys and a welcome note left for my arrival.
The room was prepared ready for my arrival, heating and lights on and curtains closed. The en-suite room was warm and comfortable with all the usual shower gel, shampoo, tea and coffee etc.
The breakfast was perfect and the owners/staff very welcoming and friendly. I've definitely found my place for when work takes me to Orkney :-)

The property is well located and about a 3km walk from the centre of Kirkwall. The property was very clean, well decorated and comfortable. The owners live in the house but there is a separate entrance for guests and it felt very private. There was a range of cereals, fresh fruit and bread available for breakfast and the host also asked whether we would like pancakes; there was also plenty of sauces and toppings.

Ideally placed 300yds from ferry terminal. Beautiful and quaint place, very comfortable with everything one could wish for. Very considerate and attentive host Kay who let me check in early with bags as had to leave car behind in Thurso due to breakdown. Immaculate if compact bathroom. Shower hot and toiletries and towels provided. Breakfast excellent cooked by a chef, Kay herself. Quiet and peaceful stay. Thank you.
Friendly hosts, excellent breakfasts and homemade biscuits provided each day. The situation was perfect, being near the ferry and town amenities but quiet and relaxed.

Lovely spacious house, spotlessly clean, beautiful view. Host was very helpful when the internet wasn't working - very nice lady. A bit of road noise first and last thing but was quiet overnight. Never heard the neighbours. Great location for all the Neolithic stuff. Highly recommended.
Room was excellent, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was great all served quickly by very friendly staff. We had Dinner on one evening and again great quality delicious food. Karen and Garath were great hosts and The Ferry Inn can be highly recommended.. Great location for exploring Orkney
