This is a charming and delightful former country train station, 2 miles outside Petworth Village and close to Petworth House.
Our accommodation was in the restored classic Pullman train carriages, each converted into 2 en-suite bedrooms. The carriages stand along the platform next to the station building, where a satisfying breakfast is served ion the old waiting room! The carriages themselves are fitted out with a good sized double bed. Most of the original paneling and decor has been retained and the room is decorated with period artifacts which give authentic character to the whole experience.

Superbly well equipped property, lots of thoughtful touches, everything needed was provided and more, historical building, excellent location in centre of Midhurst but still quiet, cheap public carpark very nearby.
I travel to Goodwood at least 2 times a year for work and always struggled with accommodation - not anymore! I just loved every single thing about the Halfway Bridge!
I have mentioned I wanted a quiet room as I work long hours and they were thoughtful to put me in a little charming cottage, the staff was so friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing!
I can't recommend it enough - and will definitely be coming back soon
