The property was absolutely lovely, top class stay and we will definitely want to stay again. The food in the restaurant was nothing short of exceptional! We’ve already recommended the hotel/restaurant to other people. Staff were top class too, very very helpful and inviting.

The Dog in Over Peover, hotel in Knutsford

Dating back to 1860, The Dog in Over Peover is in the heart of the quaint village. This typical village inn offers a restaurant and a pub serving real local and national ales.

I honestly can’t fault anything at The Dog. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated and quiet! We stayed in The Westie room and loved it! The food was delicious with a great number of options on the menu for both food and beers, wines, cocktails! We were lucky enough to stay there whilst the pub quiz was on and it was one of the best quizzes we’ve been to! The staff are exceptional, we felt right at home and as if we were surrounded by friends! Special mention and thanks to Beccie, who is an absolute testament to the establishment! We can’t wait to return! If I could give more than 10 stars I would!

The School House, hotel in Warrington

The School House is situated in Warrington, 19 km from Tatton Park, 22 km from Delamere Forest, and 24 km from Haydock Racecourse.

The room was cosy and attention had been paid to all the important details. Lovely clean, wonderfully comfortable bed, great night lights, fabulous en-suite … actually a good sized bathroom with loads of piping hot water and great water pressure for a wonderful shower. Thick, soft towels, high quality toilet paper! Tea, biscuits and bottled water in room. Local info and history of the home. Just lovely. Warm, welcoming, humorous hosts but not in your face or popping up every time you went down the stairs. Perfect stay. Will be booking again as the price is also perfect!

I have stayed here before and despite the accommodation being basic, it met my needs ( a bed for the night). The rooms are always spotlessly clean and tea /coffee supplies are in generous measures. Its very quiet during the evening and has a lovely canal side beer garden. The owner is so welcoming and friendly and has never once let me down. The welcome received is always a warm one

A comfortable and cosy room with a private bathroom, not en suite, but right opposite. Everything I needed for an overnight stay. The adjoining cafe has a good variety of breakfast choices and there's a charming farm shop to stock up for the onward journey.

We really didn’t enjoy the breakfast, found it to be sparse, very salty, no choice given for how we wanted our eggs. Very limited cereal choice, very limited yogurt choice and the one I chose was very close to use by date and tasted off. Fresh fruit selection was poor and looked like it was picked up from the floor at an orchard as a cheap option. No choice of toast either, served brown with very little butter provided, felt awkward asking for more. Clear to say breakfast wasn’t a hit

Location great and with the rooms being in a separate building from the main pub it was very quiet and private. A nice touch. Dinner in the pub was really good value. Food was fresh nicely cooked and generous portions.
