The location is wonderful, set amidst hills, lochs and ancient dwellings. But it is the hospitality of the hosts, Sue and Johnny, which make it extra special. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the Campbell room and the bed is just sublime . Best sleep ever.

Fantastic stay at the Kilchrenan, the room was spacious and well fitted out with all you need for your stay. Plenty of carparking available, and so peaceful once the pub closes. The food was top quality and the staff were very friendly, our two dogs were made very welcome.

This is a nice little cottage, if you have a chance, book it. At first sight, it is nothing special but if you talk to the owner you learn, he is friendly and much keen on preparing you a pleasant stay. We were at first surprised, when we were asked the evening we arrived, how many eggs, ham, black pudding and so on we would like to have for breakfast the next day. Then we realized, what a good idea it was. There has been no food wasted and we could have the breakfast we wished for. Moreover, breakfast is freshly prepared and delicious. The black pudding is from the butcher from the village, and you shouldn’t miss it. Some say, the cottage smells after dogs. Well, it is a dog friendly accommodation. We arrived without a dog, and yes, I could smell a bit of it on the stairways, but that was not disturbing at all. The room was impeccable, without any smell and very clean and tidy. The bathroom was big and had a nice window. You look over the garden, the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Parking is available. The owner helps you with good tips about what to visit. It is a good starting point for trips to the north and to the south. It is a pleasant and friendly place, we are happy, that we stayed here.

A comfortable guest sitting room. Definitely one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in.
On a trip of multiple hotel and B&B visits, this was by far the best of our travels. Great host. great food. great location. and the property is welcoming from the front all the way to the bed.
