I like the room, the facilities, the community pub downstairs with good food & friendly locals. The little village was lovely and quiet and the drive there was through some spectacular countryside.

We had a very nice friendly welcome when we arrived. The accommodation was very nice & had everything we needed. We had the sofa bed made up & there was plenty of room for 4 of us. The breakfast was so good. Wonderful full English, fresh fruit, cereals & toast.

Good location and easy to park. The room was a tad on the small side. But we are big people and we made it work. Nice and quiet also. Most we heard were birds and dog walkers.Had just a walk in shower which was really good as I don't like this getting in the bath lark for a shower. Breakfast was good. Choice of what you wanted requested the night before and a selection of cereals. Ate in one night. Proper pub food with generous portions.

Friendly welcome from the staff, heating was on before we arrived ,therefore the rooms were warm. Evening meals and breakfast were exceptional. Food was good quality, no cheap nasty sausages for breakfast, just quality. Portion size was very good for evening meals, cheese board, and breakfast. Thanks to chef Martin and his team. Even the toilet roll in the bathroom was good quality. The room was above the bar but was quiet without any noise from bar. Nice to see a dog friendly hotel very relaxed. The log fire was warm and welcoming.

The setting is stunning, peaceful, relaxing and charming. The self-contained chalets feel private and homely. We used it as a base to attend a local wedding but the area looks wonderful for exploring. The list of facilities is long with every need considered. Jenna is a very generous, friendly and attentive host. She made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Even allowing us to pose with the tractors in our wedding outfits :)
