The Spread Eagle, hotel in Clitheroe

A former coaching inn in the Forest of Bowland, The Spread Eagle in Sawley provides luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation in Lancashire’s picturesque Ribble Valley.

The property was lovely and cosy. Rooms were small but excellent value for money. Lovely decor and facilities including a coffee pod machine in the room. Breakfast looked exceptional although we didn’t have time to dine in but they very thoughtfully gave us a little something for the road. Location is right next to the river which makes for a stunning evening walk while the suns out.

Beautiful views. Quiet and relaxing holiday. Enjoyed watching the visiting peacock and peahens. Plenty of walks from the property. Although next door to owners house, it was very private and not overlooked at all. Gift basket was a nice welcome. Not far from Clitheroe for supplies but felt isolated which was just what we were looking for.
