The bed and breakfast was in a beautiful setting. The building was grand and lovely. The rooms were well appointed and immaculately clean. The bathroom was very modern and nice. Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely bright room overlooking the river. We walked to the walled garden. A wonderful stay.

The breakfast was "make your own", but had lots of choices for breads, cereals and jams (including blackcurrant jam). Nice big room with private (but not en suite) bath. Outside the city of Carlisle, in the middle of farmland, but with easy access to the center city and Carisle Castle, as well as Mike Barry's Scaleby Hill Motorcycle Museum.

We were able to have two large rooms with two beds in them. Which is really important for two gal friends sharing a room. The owner was gracious and accommodating. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!
Location was just a block off of the Hadrian's wall trail and an easy walk to restaurants and museums in town.

Quiet an peacefull stay just outside Carlisle city center. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the host was very kind to accomodate to my dietary requests. It's a great location for those walking along Hadrian's wall path.
