Quite remote location but was absolutely perfect for what we were looking to do. Loved the drive down the narrow lanes to reach the accommodation and was not disappointed with the view on arrival. Lovely character building offering good car parking with large garden and seating that would be superb in summer. Loved the fire pit that was roaring as we approached reception area. Our room offered everything we needed including great overhead shower and we obviously appreciated the heating. We ate in the restaurant and the evening meal and breakfast next day were both delicious. Very friendly, helpful staff

Lovely comfortable accommodation with every convenience in the heart of Burford. I was in the end room no 3 at the back , very quiet overlooking courtyard. Couldn’t find any fault . Will definitely be back! Happy Christmas!

It was clean and the staff were friendly and welcome
Breakfast was standard cooked, nice selection (no salmon on first day) and we had a great host who was supper helpful/friendly. The breakfast was in the conservatory which was lovely.
The bar in the pub is nice with some great locals in there who were extremely friendly. Bar staff were also super nice and helpful.
Great location for going on walks, on arrival we were given a leaflet with some local walks which was a nice touch.
This is a pub with only two guest rooms, not a high end fancy hotel, which suited us perfectly. Relaxed environment, large, private room with its own entrance, The Royal Oak is right in the centre of Burford but still really quiet. The staff were all cheerful and attentive. Breakfast was exceptional and served in the residents’ bar by the guy who cooked it: he was great, efficient, friendly and an English breakfast master chef!
Very quiet location in courtyard behind the Tea Rooms. Excellent breakfast available. Ideal location on Burford High Street close to local shops, restaurants and pubs.
