A large comfortable room, good Wifi and a freshly cooked breakfast to order. A nice bar area, which also attracts the locals in on an evening which promoted the nice atmosphere. Owners are so friendly and chatty and also easy to get into town (local taxis are good and its an average of £5.50 to the train station).

This place is brilliant. I stayed here when doing a ‘Wild Weekend’ with Cumbrian Heavy Horses. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. It was really useful to have the fridge and microwave available for guests to use, and the self-service breakfast and drinks available at all times. There was also always water and fruit available in the corridor. David was so friendly and welcoming.
It was a lovely quiet location overlooking the sea and I enjoyed evening strolls along the coast path. I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was very good, with prompt and efficient service. The evening meal we had was of very good quality and delicious! Nice that all the bread was homemade! The Lakes are always beautiful but was lovely to see the west Lakes, the scenery was amazing. Beds very comfortable.

What a fabulous location! We could not believe the total peace and quiet that you find here. The scenery is superb, just sitting on the veranda int he evening and taking in the whole tranquil scenery is wonderful.
There are some pleasant walks all around to enjoy too.
The restaurant offers excellent quality food. We had breakfast and dinner here during our stay and we could not fault it.
Although the hotel is a bit dates and old-fashioned in its decor, it was spotlessly clean.

Lovely local pub and lovely friendly staff Mike and Belinda! My room was spacious and very comfortable and clean! The bed was very comfortable! I was made very welcome and would definitely stay here again! And to meet May a lovely local lady who knew my older family members and was good friends with them and had lovely heat warming memories of them was a bonus and joy to hear her memories and chat with her! x
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Great location next to the city center. The room has everything you need: iron, extra towels, and toothbrush. If you forget anything, just ask, and they'll provide it. Free parking is available next to the hotel.
The site is tucked away but once you turn the corner it’s like you are in a completely different place. It’s quiet / private and a really beautiful spot. The host Gavin was amazing, we even asked to stay another night which he accommodated straight away.
The site is clean and the facilities are excellent.
Great for couples but also for kids.
Would definitely recommend :-)
