HH Accommodation, hotel in Barrow in Furness

Situated within 27 km of Muncaster Castle and 42 km of Lake Windermere in Millom, HH Accommodation features accommodation with seating area.

This place is brilliant. I stayed here when doing a ‘Wild Weekend’ with Cumbrian Heavy Horses. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. It was really useful to have the fridge and microwave available for guests to use, and the self-service breakfast and drinks available at all times. There was also always water and fruit available in the corridor. David was so friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely quiet location overlooking the sea and I enjoyed evening strolls along the coast path. I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was very good, with prompt and efficient service. The evening meal we had was of very good quality and delicious! Nice that all the bread was homemade! The Lakes are always beautiful but was lovely to see the west Lakes, the scenery was amazing. Beds very comfortable.

The Bay Horse Hotel And Restaurant, hotel in Barrow in Furness

On the shores of Levens Estuary, The Bay Horse Hotel is just 2 miles from Ulverston centre. With cosy log fires and a traditional restaurant, there is also free parking and free Wi-Fi.

What a fabulous location! We could not believe the total peace and quiet that you find here. The scenery is superb, just sitting on the veranda int he evening and taking in the whole tranquil scenery is wonderful. There are some pleasant walks all around to enjoy too. The restaurant offers excellent quality food. We had breakfast and dinner here during our stay and we could not fault it. Although the hotel is a bit dates and old-fashioned in its decor, it was spotlessly clean.

The site is tucked away but once you turn the corner it’s like you are in a completely different place. It’s quiet / private and a really beautiful spot. The host Gavin was amazing, we even asked to stay another night which he accommodated straight away. The site is clean and the facilities are excellent. Great for couples but also for kids. Would definitely recommend :-)
