Norwood Guesthouse-Loch Lomond, hotel in Balloch

Norwood Guesthouse-Loch Lomond enjoys a location in Balloch, 17 miles from Mugdock Country Park and 17 miles from Glasgow Botanic Gardens.

The reviews were glowing and I wasn't disappointed. The host was welcoming from the outset. It was easy to find with free parking directly opposite. Room was clean, cosy and had all I required. There was a lot to see and do on the doorstep which the host was happy to tell me about. I didn't require it but is great guests have access to a little kitchen where guests could cook, warm food, eat etc. Paid breakfast in the morning was great I highly recommend the place.

Moorlands, hotel in Balloch

Located in Helensburgh, the Moorlands offers free WiFi and free onsite parking. With beautiful gardens, this detached Victorian property is just 15 minutes' walk from the coast.

This bed and breakfast is stunning and sits on a beautiful, serene property. I couldn’t have chose anything more perfect. The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms are large and the bed was so comfortable! Leslie was an inviting host with great attention to detail. Our breakfast was delicious and started our day off just right. Great vistas of the water too. This is a great place to stay if traveling the John Muir Way. We highly recommend and look forward to coming back again. Be sure to enjoy the large, old Sequioa tree on property - while it’s young in terms of Sequioa’s, it’s majestic. Thank you Leslie and Simon for sharing your home with us.

Great location just off main road but very quiet. Extremely handy for nearby wedding venues and you can easily walk to Duck Bay Marina should you wish. Cottage was spotless and comfortable with all you need for your stay. Good communication and helpful staff on arrival. Recommended accomodation for Loch Lomond and those looking to stopover for events nearby.

Chloe is a great host. She is caring, welcoming and provided us with all the help and information needed. The hotel itself is comfortable and quiet, exactly what we needed. Location is great for a walk around the castle, a visit to the loch or as a stopover towards the highlands. (P.s. the Indian restaurant opposite the hotel is a great find, delicious and huge meals!)

This property was in a great location, with a large private car park. A very quiet location within walking distance of the local points of interest, and a great gateway to explore the sights of Loch Lomond. A nice dining area, inside and out. Food was typical pub grub of good quality, with a popular carvery.
