Everything! The very warm welcome, the beautiful garden, comfortable beds and attention to detail. We were given a welcome drink on arrival, which was a really nice touch. Beautiful, quiet location. A fantastic breakfast included in the price, with lots of excellent choice.

Jacques and Nicole were delightful. Such warm and welcoming hosts. We were lucky with the weather to enjoy sitting in the lovely garden. The dining room was well stocked to be able to eat the dinner we’d brought. The breakfast was fabulous with many homemade products and very generous for 2 people - Jacques packed us a few bits and pieces for our onward journey including eggs from his chickens. Introduced Jacques to marmite which he loved! Quirky, happy to talk to you, proud of his connections with his car club guests and his connection with Le Mans, Jacques is an absolute sweetie. Wonderful place off the beaten track sitting in breathtaking countryside. Very much like staying in a piece of history. The hosts were wonderful and made a huge effort to look after us. They made us a wonderful evening meal and breakfast the next day was excellent. You have to try the local honey.

We stopped here en route to Caen on the way home from Bordeaux, we got there early enough to have a swim in the beautiful pool and sat in the sun. Sandra suggested a fabulous restaurant in old Le Mans which was a great idea, and then managed to get us wrist bands to get into the Classic racing car on the circuit the next day. We had a really good time- the circuit and museum were a 5 minute drive away and made a lovely end to our holiday in France.

The accomodation itself was charming. The bath and shower were lovely. Decor in the accomodation was very special. The communal area is fine. Lots of games and things and still has a lot of charm.
