Chambres d'hotes Le Plassalou, hotel in Esclauzels

Offering garden views, Chambres d'hotes Le Plassalou is an accommodation located in Esclauzels, 21 km from Pech Merle Cave and 42 km from Roucous Golf Course.

We were warmly welcomed by Madame, who was more than willing to lend us her clothes line since we had got wet cycling. The house is set apart from the village and you would need to drive to get to a restaurant - but that didn't matter because we were given a really delicious cold dinner with two sorts of homemade foie gras, a lovely salad with hard-boiled eggs, masses of tasty bread and a glass of wine. All for less than 20€ each. We ate outside in the evening with not a hint of biting insects. Our room was huge with a great shower and spotlessly clean. The beds did their job just fine, and we both slept like logs. Our bikes were stored undercover overnight. Breakfast had homemade yoghurt and jams to go with crusty bread, croissants, and pain au chocolates. Perfectly settlng us up for another day.

Offering garden views, Un nid pour la nuit, Chambres d’hôtes is an accommodation set in Saint-Géry, 16 km from Pech Merle Cave and 48 km from Roucous Golf Course.

Very friendly hosts and well appointed comfortable rooms in a lovely location near the River Lot. One reason we liked it was that there was a communal breakfast/dining room where we could use the hob and microwave to cook our own evening meal. Being able to meet other guests at breakfast and in the evening was a bonus that we missed in some of the other places where we stayed. Would definitely stay again.

Our apartment was in the loft and was full of character. It was very comfortable and had access to a private garden and great views over the Town and the Valley. Marie the owner is very helpful in advising what there is to do in the area. This is one of the best stays we have ever had.

This is a great location on the Valley du Lot with wonderful view points. The auberge sits right in the typical village. The village could be crowded during the day but becomes very quiet in the evening and mornings. It's a very pleasant setting with welcoming staff. We stayed only one night on our way to visit Pech Merle.

We were contacted by phone on the day of our arrival, by the charming property manager Marie-Noëlle, to advise detais of our arrival in this basically pedestrian hillside village. She took our bags to the property while we parked the car in the viillage residents car park. This property is basically a private residence and we had the run of the property and garden. Marie-Noëlle was delightful and a great asset for the absent owners. The property is unique in a medieval village. We would highly recommend a stay here.
