The setting, right opposite the waterfall and river with walking paths in the forest was great. Good parking for guests at the side of the hotel and the view from our window overlooking the river and forest was lovely. The welcome on arrival was very friendly and very efficient, the owner was busy with the restaurant which seemed popular with locals too but he was expecting us and made us feel at home. The room, although not huge was perfectly adequate for one night. It was warm, very clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated and well maintained. Although breakfast isn't served, there are tea and coffee in the room, bottles of water and a cereal bar provided for you for the morning, which was a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant, good selection and food is good, even if you aren't a meat eater a lovely selection of salads and tapas dishes can make a nice meal. A 10 min walk along the river takes you to Fussen old town, beautiful! Plenty of cafés to get a nice breakfast and coffees in the morning. Lovely little shops too, we wished we had more time to look around the town or to do a walk in the forest area so would definitely come back passing through this area, very pretty.

This beautiful place was all we hoped for - charming, traditional and the most incredible view out the door. Our family of 4 stayed in rooms 1 and 5 with the best views, plenty of room and a great location to walk to town and the castles.
Breakfast was fabulous in the cosy dining room and we were given an early check in and able to leave our bags on check out until we left at 1pm.
Highly recommend this place for a fairy tale visit to the area. Loved it.
The location was at the foot of Neuschwanstein Castle, 5 minutes walk to the castle entrance.
Clear instructions to find the private driveway to hotel. Google Maps couldn't find the hotel.
Fabulous view of castle and due to close proximity you can enjoy the beautiful views uninterrupted after the castle tours have finished.
