It was a great stay at Sendis. Our host was very friendly and kind. She runs the place so that we feel at home. The breakfast was excellent and we, from a Mediterranean country, enjoyed the extra tomatoes and olives served by our host. The room with the balcony was a joy. The bathroom and the large room itself are very clean. There was an additional niche with a study desk separately attached to the bedroom, which is very handy. We would definitely stay one more time. The hotel is situated in a peaceful green neighborhood with small houses. The location is safe, ABSOLUTELY QUIET, and very well connected to the city center (10 minutes by metro, and then 8 minutes of walking).
It is also close to a local shopping center (ca. 12 minutes of walking), and to the University (ca. 18 minutes of walking).
The breakfast is great and personalized.
The staff is very friendly. Late check-in was possible.

Much closer to the train station then expected! Staff was so helpful to upgrade our room, provide an earlier check-in than expected, AND store our baggage. The restaurant was delicious and very agreeably priced. Stayed with my brother and sister for the Taylor Swift concert at Veltins arena- perfect 30 minutes to venue.

Overall good and great host. Response on any queries were very prompt so was easy. It’s an old building but the property kept very clean and with all facilities included except for fan.
Kitchen had basic items provided like salt, sugar etc that was impressive.

Nice and quiet . Allowed to check in super early- thanks to reception and housekeeping for making the room up at 11am! Not like the big hotels that make you wait till 3pm for no reason
Fantastic hotel.
The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the food in the restaurant was great - both the pasta they dished up for us with no fuss at 22.30 after the football and the breakfast included in the price of the room. We came for the Euros, so booked what we thought was a cheap and cheerful hotel that would fit the bill, safe to say La Scala far exceeded expectations.
(They also let us stay and do a couple of hours work in the restaurant after checkout which was incredibly helpful).
The rooms were really big and clean. Lovely furniture and great location. It’s essentially a small house with a livingroom, bathroom and bedroom. And really cheap.
