I had a small single bedroom with a bathroom across the hall. It was perfect for my needs, both charming and comfortable. The hotel is really lovely, in a fantastic location, with an ice-cream bar attached. Poschiavo is also lovely.

I really appreciated my stay at the Chasa Sassalbo were I have felt just like at home thanks to Karen's kindness & warm welcome. The room was very clean and lovely, I slept so well. After few days on the road, it was the perfect place to relax, explore and chill on the balcony with great views. I loved the charming feel of the place, a mix of Swiss-Italian atmosphere, architecture and decoration. It is perfectly located for great holidays, I could spend the afternoon on the lake's beach and had a swim, having a pizza in Italy, hiking the Swiss Alps, a day in famous Saint-Moritz and the Bernina Express train stop is just 5 minutes away. The value for the affordable price makes it a perfect relaxing place and central point from were to explore the stunning surroundings for a holiday or for fews days. I highly recommend. Great location in very picturesque village. Room was comfortable with antique bed and furniture. Guest card gives free train, bus and museum entrance. Really good bonus!
Quiet and comfortable room. Very helpful host who appears to be near fluent in several languages. The location could not be better for station access. Lovely breakfast comprised of local products. The on-site restaurant was closed at the time of my visit, but there are several decent eateries within a few minutes walk.
It’s a lovely old original property in a quaint old fashioned typically Swiss / Italian square. The room was just the right size with a lovely warm bathroom floor. Breakfast was continental and comprehensive.
We were a bit unsure of what to expect coming here because of the mixed reviews, but it was honestly a good experience. The rooms are nice, the bathroom is decently sized and very clean, the balcony had a great view both during the night and during the day. The restaurant had good food at a decent (not cheap, not expensive) price. Overall, the value for money was excellent. We stayed in places priced 3x more and not as nice.
The rooms are spacious and very clean. The building is old and charming. It is in a quiet location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and excellent service.
