GERLINDE! Gerlinde is MAGIC! Was accommodating and explained to me that I booked a room without the bathroom. And that was fine. We both had a birthday the day afterI checked in. The morning of my birthday there was a table with birthday celebration decorations waiting for me at the delicious buffet breakfast. Best breakfast of my entire week vacation in Switzerland.

Very accommodating hosts in a beautiful location midway between Interlaken and Lucern. Absolutely stunning views. Rooms were spacious and very clean. One room was beautifully remodeled, the other two were older but still very nice. The historic guesthouse is family owned and run and the love this family has for their guests is very evident. We had a travel delay that kept us from arriving while the restaurant was still serving dinner, but the hosts offered to make us cold sandwiches to have when we arrived. When we arrived, they had the sandwiches ready and offered a few other options (salad, appetizers), which was greatly appreciated!

Everything was fresh and many things were from their garden.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
The lake view from our room/balcony. Free parking as we were driving. Close to the Brienz city center and swimming area is just across the hotel. An old cabin room but comfortable
We enjoyed sitting out in the small patio area that came with our studio apartment and watching the small cog rail train chug up the mountain daily. In the evening it was quiet and in the morning the birds sang. There is a large guest lounge in the main building that is open to all visitors and a larger garden with seating and BBQ.
Fantastic room with external private bathroom. View was outstanding from the bedroom window. Easy self check in and found everything we needed. Welcoming breakfast with lovely chatty host who gave us tips for the local area and made us laugh - a lot! Comfortable, clean and quiet. Brienz exceeded every expectation. Do not hesitate to book this bed & breakfast
The breakfast was excellent, a great way to start the day. The ample supply of coffee in the room was a bonus. Lots of hooks and electric outlets made the stay comfortable. The bnb was in such a quiet area, slept with windows open for fresh air...best sleep in along time. The whole facility was simply charming.
Quiet location (except for the occasional train). Easy to find. Easy to park. Large, open-plan rooms with high ceilings. Full length balcony with table and chairs and open views towards mountains. Could comfortably accommodate 5 adults. Large kitchen and dining table. Recently renovated with new, easy to operate windows. Great location for exploring Interlaken and Meiringen (both around 10 minutes drive away).
Excellent spot with private balcony overlooking lake Brienz. Close to station and ferry. Lovely local hotels and shops. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The apartment was quiet and there was a private garden which was nice. There was a good washer/dryer which was great for us with small children,
