The location was fantastic and all extra services offered were a huge plus (water bottles, fruit, coffee, maps, biscuits,....). The cherry on top was the personal touch of the hostess (down to earth person who has taken care of details at the lodging too!). Absolutely worth it.

Christian and Kay have made a little slice of magic in Ghent with their B&B. From the "reception" in the common room of their apartment in the building, their warmth and welcoming words, the sedate elevator that took us to the 3rd floor, the smell of old wood, fresh river air and books, it immediately relaxed us after a long drive from the Hague. The 3rd floor apartment we took was something else as well - the view at the castle in front, the balcony that looks over the river and the church steeples in the back, chairs, sofas and beds you can immediately fall asleep in, all impecably clean...
Kay told us that it is rare we can get a single night available on such short notice, but I am glad we did. Would recommend it to everyone, no matter how many times you visited Ghent!

I loved EVERYTHING about this property! As soon as I booked, I received a message from the hosts with a welcome and all the practical information I needed - even which tram to take and where to find the tram when I walked out of the train station. Having a code instead of a key is so practical! And the instructions in the message were very detailed about how to use the code system! I really appreciate the follow-up message I received just before check-in with reminders of important information, as well as the reminder message just before check-out. It made things so easy and stress-free!
The location is perfect! It’s close to everything, but a few steps down a quiet side street so no noise whatsoever. Being able to leave luggage before check-in and after check-out is perfect, and I love that there are shelves in a locked closet for this! And I have to point out how impeccably clean it is!! That goes for my room also! When I opened the door, I just said, “Wow!” So large, bright, modern, clean and comfortable! Both the room and the bathroom! Definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed!!!

The location is perfect. It provides a beautiful view in both directions. The owner and staff were very pleasant and most accommodating. The bed was extremely comfortable and room was very clean. Breakfast had a nice selection and the service was fantastic. Although the steps are steep, we were offered assistance with our bags. It should not be a deterrent to stay. If I ever return to Ghent, I will definitely book again

A unique B and B in a great location, 5 minutes from the old city centre. Each room is themed after different cities or cultures and offers very spacious accommodation. If you like a private jacuzzi, ask for the Shanghai room, complete with Moongate and Laughing Buddha. Well-decorated and comfortable room located close to the city centre. The giant bed was a great relaxation moment and the spacious room provided comfort. I did not have breakfast but the common room is cosy and also well-decorated. We could leave our luggage safely and without extra cost. The studio has all the facilities needed for a short stay. This can be helpful to save money as Gent is not a cheap city. The location was quiet and safe. The walk along the canal into the city centre is beautiful and has a few bars.
