Barossa House is not nearly as elegant as the photos suggest. It is a grand house but is located well out of town with no attractions, not even a park, within walking distance.
Our room was well appointed but so small as to be impracticable: the bathroom was so tiny that the basin had to be located in the main room.
There was nowhere to put toiletries, and no real hanging space for clothes.
Apart from a cooked frittata, the breakfast was miserable: there was no real choice of breads, juices, cereals or milks, and we had to ask for extra butter and jam. It was as though the staff were measuring out everything.

A lovely little studio with an outdoor courtyard to enjoy on sunny days. Close enough to the center of Tanunda to walk to cellar doors and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and the space was bright and clean. Lots of delicious goodies and a bottle of wine provided by the hosts.

Great breakfast set up and we were really comfortable. Very hot weather and thanks for the ironing board and iron as ironing linen clothing definitely needed. We loved the garden setting and easy walk to restaurants.

Great location. Very clean and tidy. Everything provided including a welcome bottle of wine, great selection of locally made breakfast ingredients including muesli, fruit, beautiful bread, etc and a cheese and olive board. Plenty of towels, toiletries etc . These extra touches make it extra special.
Our experience at the Louise was nothing short of exceptional. The service from staff was so professional, helpful, and friendly. The room was gorgeous, clean, and private. The food was divine and the views just tied the experience all together. I will be raving to anyone I can about our stay here!
The location was perfect for enjoying a we walk to many local wineries and tastings. Other towns and wineries were all easy driving. The quiet and very private location was amazing with only rabbits, many native birds and the odd kangaroos to break the silence. The hosts take time to get to understand your needs before and set up things and provide great ideas for your stay. The villas are super comfy and clean, with everything you will need and much more besides.
Just gorgeous. Excellent breakfast provisions, snacks, cheese plate. Wendy was so accommodating and pleasant. Walking distance to wineries. nice and quiet. A must stay!
