The Dove Cote, hotel in Marananga

The Dove Cote features Federation architecture, located in the heart of Tanunda, Barossa Valley. Built in 1996, this property offers a free breakfast, free guest laundry and free covered parking.

The location was ideal. It was quiet, but one street back from the main road and a short walk to everything - restaurants, bakery, doughnut shop, bars etc. The house was beautifully kept. It is an older style, but so pleasant. There was also a nice courtyard so you can eat outside accompanied by the coo-ing of the doves. And I cannot say enough about the breakfast supplies, generous, delicious with lots of choice. And having a spa bath after spending a day walking and visiting wineries was lovely as well. Check in was straight forward and when we had a little problem with the TV, the host phoned back almost immediately and solved the problem. He was very pleasant and helpful.

The location was perfect for enjoying a we walk to many local wineries and tastings. Other towns and wineries were all easy driving. The quiet and very private location was amazing with only rabbits, many native birds and the odd kangaroos to break the silence. The hosts take time to get to understand your needs before and set up things and provide great ideas for your stay. The villas are super comfy and clean, with everything you will need and much more besides.
