Haus Mayerhofer is a lovely and cosy place! We spend Christmas there and had the best time!
Beds are really comfortable! And it has a big living room and kitchen space. The apartment was perfectly heated for the snow! Although the bathroom is en suite with the one room, it wasn't a problem for us as 'n family.
Breakfast is available on request. Everything is closed in St. Gilgen on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but we made a delicious meal in our apartment. There is Spar supermarket close by to buy all you need.
The people are very friendly and St. Gilgen is a beautiful town! It is close to the bus stop which connects you to anywhere!

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Nice and isolated little chalet, in a beautiful and quiet setting, close to a wealth of activities off all kinds (including Salzburg of course). Very welcoming host, well equipped.
Strongly recommended. We had a great time staying here. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is great. It's located in a charming village surrounded by an amazing view, relatively close to a train to Salzburg (it makes it much easier to have a car here to move around). Hannelore, the hostesses, was so warm, kind and helpful, she made the stay very easy and pleasant.
If you are nature lover and love the quiet location, this property is the most desired one. I was so fortunate to get this one recommended. Loved every bit of it, be it location, be it cleanliness, be it the host. I couldn't ask for anything else.
Staying in Fitzholf was an amazing experience. Picturesque to the core...extremely quiet. Property contains all the amenities as desired including a functional kitchen. The hosts are superb and ensured that our stay becomes memorable. They have an adjoining farm and witnessing same was enjoyable.

Charming place with a character, very kind and friendly host. Great value for money - I'd say I got more than I paid for. Quiet and peaceful place in a very traditional Austrian community. Enough space for 3-4 people, you have all you need - but if you don't find something you need, the host is very responsive and willing to help.
The host lady was terribly sweet, the breakfast was perfect - from an omelett to salmon, fruits, home made breads, and a large variety of cheeses, jams, cakes, and drinks! The check-in was simple and fast, the village is quiet and beautiful, everything was clean and sweetly old fashioned. You need a car because it is far from everything, but that is what's perfect about it! We made beautiful hikes in the region. The mountains are magnificent.
