The location is great, studio is spacious and well equiped. Nice facilities and lovely breakfast with beautiful view. The staff was very nice, polite and helpful. Featuring free WiFi, São Francisco Accommodation is a renovated building with 6 floors and a lift. It offers modern rooms in Funchal, within a 5-minute walk from the harbour. The room was very clean and the staff super nice, they give you a present at the beginning.

Situated in Arco da Calheta and only 2.6 km from Madalena do Mar Beach, The Artist House features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great place to stay in Madeira. Super clean and beautiful location. Felt very safe as a solo female traveler. The owner was very friendly and helpful. 10/10.

Casal da Penha Apartments offers accommodation within 600 metres of the centre of Funchal, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. This was our best accommodation in Madeira. We liked the tastefully designed and comfortable interior. The host Maikel was very helpful with arranging whatever we wanted. Unlike other places this had a good wifi suitable for work from home. The location is a couple of minutes from the harbour and there is a great restaurant just downstairs.

Situated within 200 metres of Sao Roque Beach and 300 metres of Banda d'Alem Beach, Fort Bay Suite Apartments features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Machico. A perfect stay in Machico. The apartment is well equiped and almost everything new.

Featuring a patio with pool views, pool with a view and a garden, Tropical Garden can be found in Arco da Calheta, close to Caminho Faja do Mar Beach and 2.8 km from Calheta Beach. The superb view, the cleanliness, the garden area, the terrace & barbecue facility, the quiet, the friendliness of the host, the swimming pool.

Offering a terrace and city view, Alexia Room is set in Funchal, 1.7 km from Marina do Funchal and 15 km from Girao Cape. Hostess was friendly & provided a variety of activities & restaurants in Funchal. Her suite was very clean & comfortable, beautiful bed linens/pillows along with a microwave& coffee maker. Alexia room was a perfect for a short stay & the neighbourhood was easy to navigate once you got used to the hills of Funchal. Great place for solo travellers.

Boasting a rooftop pool and views of mountain, Blue House is a recently renovated apartment situated in Ponta do Sol, 70 metres from Lugar de Baixo Beach. Clean, comfortable, nice to have a swimming pool. Host was charming.

Situated in Funchal, 1.3 km from Almirante Reis Beach and 300 metres from the centre, Social Lodge - Happiness features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a terrace. Location, 10 mins walk to center. Access wel explained. Cafes shops etc. close.

Situated in Funchal and only 500 metres from Almirante Reis Beach, Apartments Madeira Barreirinha features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The staff was amazing. Luciano and Orlando are very kind and welcoming. Luciano made an effort to fulfil our requests on check-in and his colleague Orlando checked us in relatively late on a Friday evening. They gave us the best advices on the best places to eat espetadas, fish and bolo do caco. And also where to drink poncha close by. It was a very good advice to avoid driving after drinking a 50% alcoholic drink 😅 The facilities are great and depending on the room you book, the views are amazing with views to the ocean and the east part of the city. The building has an underground parking and they give you the keys for you to park inside, which is extremely handy given the lack of parking in the public streets all over the city. We didn't use because we went in January, but they also have a swimming pool on the rooftop!
