The location was excellent, we had a lovely view of the ocean and it was very accessible by car. The holiday home is warm, cosy and well-equipped to meet needs. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, would definitely return again if I'm in the area.

The views over the lake are stunning and it is a 2 minute walk from a great onsite bar and a beach, there are also fantastic water sport facilities. Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Westcliff is situated in Seascale, a few steps from Seascale Beach and 10 km from Muncaster Castle. Roseta, the owner, is a wonderful hostess. She is so accommodating. Due to it being off-season, I was offered a room upgrade (at no extra cost), which was wonderful. I was given a sea view room, which was extremely comfortable. The whole building smells nice.... I know it sounds weird, but, go and stay there, then you'll understand...... Trust me, the "Westcliff" is a little gem in Seascale.

Situated in Barrow in Furness, Victoria House features accommodation with access to a garden. The property has sea and mountain views, and is 43 km from World of Beatrix Potter. We had such a great stay here! We used it as a base to explore the Lakes from - much less crowded and touristy, and everyone we encountered on Walney Island made us feel so welcome! The hosts at Victoria House were lovely and the room was exactly what we wanted: comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom (with a clawfoot tub to soak in after a big day of walking!). Will absolutely be back!
