Spending time on the balcony with drinks and books during sunset and sunrise is an absolute must. Having a filtered water tap is so convenient so we did not have to worry about buying water at the store for our entire stay. Getting to anywhere on the island is no problem as long as your vehicle can handle the steep and sometimes very windy roads.

We stayed in the Papaya unit and would definitely stay here again. The unit was spacious, clean, and had an excellent view. The extra touches, like beach towels and chairs and a cooler, were so unexpected and very much appreciated. Check in and check out were simple too. I would warn future guests to be ready for the steep roads of St John. We had a small SUV and had no problems, but these hills are way past what I'm used to driving. Just take it slow and you'll be fine. There's even parking on site, which is a big deal on St John.
