There are a number of restaurants and cafes near to suit all needs. The owners Paula and Daniel were extremely helpful and was able to give us good tips and advice. The receptionist Grace was always bright and bubbly, as were all the staff. We would highly recommend Nyumbani Residence and will certainly be coming back.

After spending 5 weeks on the island, we can confidently say that this is the best option in the south of Zanzibar. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we rented it again for another week after staying in the north. Liza is incredibly attentive, proactive, and very friendly. The house is unbeatable: spacious, clean, and perfectly located just a few steps from Jambiani beach. It's a quiet environment, perfect for a well-deserved vacation. Both the bedroom and the bathroom, as well as the kitchen, are fantastic—we felt right at home with privacy and comfort. The bed is large and comfortable, there’s plenty of space for clothes, and we had a cozy private balcony with a chill area to relax.The bathroom is spacious with great ventilation and plenty of hot water. Laundry machine, a owerful fan and AC its always a must and everything worked perfectly! We are thrilled with our stay! I would 100% recommend it and will definitely return!

At the apartment complex, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. We booked only one night in this beautiful studio type apartment as we were moving between North and South, it was very comfortable stop to enjoy another area of Zanzibar. We arrived for check in after snorkeling in Mnemba and spend rest of the day enjoying the pool and beach walk to nearby restaurant on the beach for dinner. After it felt like coming home, apartment is part of big villa where also owners lives on the first floor, they helped us with suggestions for rest of our travel and made us feel welcome and relaxed. We just regretted we did not book at least two nights to enjoy it even more. There is air conditioning in bedroom and all essentials. We were welcomed with cold water bottles in the fridge and fruits, such a nice touch. House dog Rocky and cat Coco made us miss our pets back home and was such a wonderful addition to our stay. We are traveling on a budget and this place far exceeds our comfort standards. The AC made going back to the apartment, something we looked forward to at the end of the day. And the space was much larger than I would have imagined. The staff was also very very nice. When they heard we had another friend meeting us later they offered to move an entire other bed into our room. They were very understanding and helpful. The apartment was also in a less touristy place, which meant we could buy cheap groceries locally from a very welcoming community while only being a 20 minute walk away from gorgeous beaches and activities.

Everything the place which is close from airport, stone town and markets… the cleanliness of the place and the privacy of it and all the staff were good even the owner was so welcoming… I recommend you all try this place.. even the taxis charge less cause everything is close by 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 btw toilets were prepared for Muslims tents
