This is probably the single most amazing place I have ever stayed in. A small castle in the middle of the desert, comfortable, clean, fully equipped with everything you might need. Located in a pleasant garden about 1km outside Chebika village, on the border between the desert and the mountains, it is a dream come true for all who want to get away from everything and enjoy complete serenity without sacrificing their comfort. It is also a fantastic base for exploring the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides, and taking advantage of other hiking opportunities in the area. Florian was prompt to answer all online inquiries, and Salah, who speaks French, English, Polish and Arabic and who lives across the road (about 20 minutes walking away), was exceptionally nice, kind and helpful. Unless you are afraid of wide open spaces or sleeping in complete isolation, do not hesitate. I tend to forget 95% of places I have stayed at. Castello Bianco is one place I will remember for sure.

He wrote me via to make sure everything was ok and to give me information on how to get there. In fact, it was very useful because I realized that, due to my mistake, I arrived in Touseur at 2 am. Siraj's father offered to pick me up at the bus station, and hosted me in his house offering me breakfast until the next day to check in. The thing I appreciated most was that, not knowing the local culture, I offered to pay for the service and Siraj's father told me that he did it wholeheartedly as a favor. As a traveler, where people are often kind only to ask for money, this thing struck me a lot and left a beautiful memory both of Siraj and his family, and of all Tunisians, who I consider an extraordinary and very kind people. Also, having breakfast with an authentic Tunisian family is a very important and valuable cultural experience for me. The house is exactly as it appears in the photos, about 15 minutes walk from the bus station and the center, in a quiet and safe area. I walked it several times even in the evening in total tranquility and safety. Absolutely recommended!

The interior is simple, confortable, ornemented with taste and authenticity. The location is also great, near everything there is to see or visit in Tozeur while still offering calm. I would love to give 11 out of 10 stars: the appartement was way better than I expected or even imagined. A really large living room with huge couches, TV, and good running Internet. Two large bed rooms with comfortable beds, and a balcony each. A bath room even with bath tub. A modern kitchen, and a huge floor; every single room with cool designs. Very friendly and charming young host - he showed us the city and went eating for dinner with us in a great restaurant with awesome atmosphere. He speaks fluent English! Appartement is like only five minutes away by car from the city centre, the next Carrefour supermarket, and some cool sightseeings. When we come back to Tozeur, we surely will stay again in this appartement!

The city is beautiful, and the host will arrange anything you need. Zied was more of a friend than a host to me. Not only did he pick me up from the bus station and brought me back when I left, he was also kind enough to take me to beautiful places and out with his friends on my birthday, so i definitely can't recommend this place enough!
