Literally a small apartment sized room with elegant-modern yet japanese style interior, compy bed, dining table with chairs and detailed amenities. Room temp can be controllable which is rare for Ryokans. A gentlemen showed us around whole facilities, asked us if we have any questions, took good time for greeting guest. It's hard to find a spacious room in Japan with limited budget, but this is exceptional. Most of all, hotel is in the center of town which is of up & down hills. Many of them. Pretty conveinient getting in and out of hotel to the hot springs and back to the room to relax. This is way better than the nearby ryokan I paid 3× more except there is no meal options.

If we come to Japan again , we will most likely stay here again :)
