The Stables Holiday Let is situated in Low Etherley, 45 km from Stadium of Light, 48 km from Sage Gateshead, and 48 km from Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. My wife and I had the most relaxing time away with nothing but peace and quiet, Even although The Stables is on the edge of a little hamlet called Escomb, it still feels very remote, just what you need if you want to get away from it all. From arrival to departure our stay was perfect. On the subject of arrival our instructions were clear, precise, easy to follow and given to us in plenty of time. The accommodation was fully equipped with everything you could need, it was clean and very welcoming, especially the bottle of prosecco!!! Our hosts Nick Christine and their boys were just fantastic, in a perfect balance of leaving us to our own devices and being on hand for advice, a recommendation or even just a chat. Their direct mobile number was provided in their "Thank you for booking with us" email with the message please feel free to contact us anytime again another nice personal touch. You can tell within minutes of meeting them how genuine they are and immediately you get the feeling it is important to them your stay goes well, they were very passionate about what they do!!! I have got to give a special mention to a few of our new found friends the dogs, leader of the pack Smithy, Taff, Jess and Angel who are all very friendly! Especially their Romanian recue Angel who followed us around the yard and stables. The numerous horses, Lorenzo, Ebony, Angel and Biker to name but a few who we had for company (the accommodation is above working stables) and of course who could ever forget Vic the goat! I will never forget the saying "Morning Vic" for as long as I live!!! I usually end reviews with would I book The Stables again and quite simply the answer is a resounding yes!!! Would I recommend you book The Stables, absolutely but don't just take my word for it look at the wonderful reviews, we can't all be wrong!!!

Comprising of converted farm buildings and new purpose-built apartments, Plawsworth Hall is located in Chester-le-Street, not far from Lumley Castle. WiFi is provided throughout the properties. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Plawsworth Hall Serviced Cottages and Apartments, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. The property is located in the idyllic village of Plawsworth, just a short drive from Durham City. The setting is absolutely stunning, with rolling hills and lush green countryside all around. The cottages and apartments themselves are beautifully appointed and spacious. Our two-bedroom apartment had everything we could possibly need, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, and two bedrooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies. The owner of the property, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was on site to greet us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property. He also made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We spent our days exploring the beautiful countryside around Plawsworth. We visited Durham Cathedral, Hadrian's Wall, and the Beamish Museum. We also enjoyed some great food at the local restaurants. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Here are some additional details about our stay: The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. Offering river views, Durham Moonlight Apartment is an accommodation situated in Durham, 20 km from Beamish Museum and 23 km from Stadium of Light. This was a terrific apartment, one of rhe most comfortable we’ve stayed at. Roomy, perfectly located for accessing the heart of the city. We were here for two nights and wished we’d stayed longer.

Henberry first floor cosy apartment is set in Barnard Castle. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Perfect for a visit to Teasdale and district. The apartment had everything you could possibly need and was maintained to a very high standard. Esther could not be more helpful and communicative. Thank you.

Balkcote ground floor cosy apartment is situated in Romaldkirk. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Lovely quiet location. Nice cosy apartment. Everything you could possibly need. Perfect for a nice quiet break away. The hosts were available if needed and answered questions before arrival. This place is just beautiful.

Situated in Beamish and only 2.1 km from Beamish Museum, 2 Bedroom Flat, Fabulous Views near Beamish Museum features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The apartment was great! Comfy, clean and the little extras made all the difference! Thank you so much for a great stay, will definitely book again next time we're planning a visit!

Set in Bishop Auckland, the recently renovated Cosy and convenient cottage offers accommodation 40 km from Beamish Museum and 45 km from Stadium of Light. The house was lovely and clean . Comfortable and very nicely decorated. We enjoyed our stay.

Toadland Shepherd Huts in Durham provides adults-only accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and barbecue facilities. The surroundings were stunning. Right in the heart of the countryside perfect for a quiet getaway Facilities exceeded expectations. The wood fired hot tub was lovely. The hut was decorated with extra detail to the finishing touches. Walks around the local area were stunning.

Located 22 km from Utilita Arena, 22 km from Sage Gateshead and 22 km from Newcastle Train Station, Central village location offers accommodation situated in Lanchester. The appartment was beautiful. Really spacious and light. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated. Loads of tea, coffee and sugar provided and a well stocked kitchen. ( we did have to hunt out the secret cutlery drawer, although that could have been us being daft!) There was every take away you could wish for in the villiage, plus an Italian restaurant. If we found ourselves visisting that area again, we would definitely stay there again. Although not a real criticism, it would have been great to know that you need to call the owners on arrival for a key code... Nonetheless 10/10 from us!!!!
