It was an amazing spot out of town so nice and quiet but easy to walk into town. The river was beautiful and so refreshing all to ourselves. So peaceful on the balcony listening to the rainforest in the morning and at night.

This is an authentic Costa Rica experience, away from the mass tourism of La Fortuna but also close enough to get there in a few minutes (by car) or even walk. The cabin is spotless, cold AC, warm water and good WiFi. Carlos and Rosie are the most wonderful hosts. You're staying in a working farm, so you can milk cows (and drink fresh milk) and see some wild animals up close, including sloth, monkey and toucans. As others mention the hummingbirds like to congregate in the garden. There is a little country store nearby with a few essentials, and the community is real and safe. Nice country walks.

Set in Alajuela City, Casa Cafetal Aeropuerto is a recently renovated accommodation, 30 km from Poas National Park and 1.5 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium. The location was superb as I was leaving the next day in the morning to the airport. The house was clean and offered everything I needed: clean shower, clean bedroom, clean towels, coffee machine, free coffee and a fridge. It has many other amenities that I would have used should I have stayed longer than 24 hours.

Exactly what we needed for a nights stay by the airport. Very good location, and the hosts were so lovely and helpful! Do not doubt booking this place!

17 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Bungalow Batsù is a recently renovated property set in Fortuna and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Very nice forest location feels so authentic with lovely hosts living next door. They showed us a sloth in the tree in front. This place feels with the nature with wild life all around. Aircon worked great in humid weather. Hosts were so kind and brought lovely homemade breakfast every morning with a lot of smiles.

Featuring inner courtyard views, Airport SJO Residence - Edward & Familia Inn features accommodation with balcony, around 33 km from Poas National Park. The arrangement of things in the room, the cleanliness of the space, the free coffee (yummy), the attention to details in the rooms, the helpful owner, and so many things. Such a great place. The owner was very responsive and even helped drop-off my friend at the airport for a minimal charge at 4:30 AM.
