Property is located in a beautifully renovated (modern appliances including dishwasher and laundry (washer and dryer) and air conditioning) and comfortable Victorian building just at the edge of downtown. It's an easy walk in one direction through the newer town for groceries (15min) and in another direction 15min down to the old harbor (blue penguins viewing, Steampunk HQ, shopping, pubs and restaurants and old Victorian town. Each bedroom has a comfortable bed and a private shower as well.

Don't judge this building from the outside beautiful native llimestone walls inside with comfotable wool carpeting,very good blackout drapes, well equipped kitchen,( even left a new can of hot chocolate as well as milk, lots of room inside and beautiful backyard,front has 2 large windows that give a nice view of the old historic section, the main street is about 100 meters and a Countdown supermarket is close by 6-7 min walk free parking in the front,very nice original art really ad to the warm at home feeling

We enjoyed our stay at heritage hideaway so much! The location is convenient to walk to the precinct area. The host prepared the fire and that’s a bonus for our trip especially we arrived on a cold raining day. The space is nicely decorated with vintage pieces and super cozy at the same time.

Good value for money, room was comfortable and clean. Wee playground for kids and big bouncy pad that staff were happy to inflate for us. Was a spa there too but we didn't have time to use it.
The host was extremely helpful and solution-oriented. I had a couple of requests that I was expecting a ‘computer says no’ reply but she came back with solutions that worked wonderfully both times. The apartment itself is stunning, comfortable and clean. We will stay again for sure.

Although the unit are retro, they were built in the day when fittings were made in NZ (not offshore) and are of a very high quality.
Hence they have lasted the years and everything worked well e.g. taps, shower, light switched and electricial outlets.
Better than many more modern holiday apartments.
Obviously they have been well maintained.
Location, ease of parking and laundry facilities, friendly staff, excellent setup of studio apartment allowing for an almost separate sleeping area for child, large bathroom, well ventilated with a quiet but effective fan, good range of tv channels.
