For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
The apartment is very spacious, very clean and has all the facilities. It certainly met our expectations. It was very comfortable, the beds were excellent. It has a large terrace with spectacular views of the river and the bridge. It does not have a kitchen, but it does have the necessary utensils to eat and drink something there.
Arrival was very easy, because the host gave us a code that opened a locker where the keys were.

An exquisite modern apartment that successfully incorporates elements of traditional Japanese design to create a homely feel. Lovely terrace with a view, perfect for having a cold beer or a cup of matcha after a day of sightseeing in Kiso valley.
It is an eccentric and enchanting place, not like anywhere else I have stayed. A hot stream runs next to the Inn and fills the onsen. Deer roam the grounds. There is a drumkit in reception. Our room was large, comfortable and warm. It is more like staying in an artist's studio and home than an hotel. I enjoyed every part of it and was touched by our handmade leaving gift.
The view in the photos does not do it justice! The apartment itself is very lovely. Super clean and well-maintained. Super easy check-in as well. We really enjoyed our stay!
An exceptional flat that will allow you to put yourself in the shoes of a Japanese for the duration of your stay. The bathroom is typical and very pleasant after a long walk along the Nakasendo. Very attentive welcome. Magnificent view of the mountain.
Clean, comfortable and warm apartment. Had everything we needed.
Closely located to train station and grocery store.
Great views off private deck overlooking river and bridge.
We were not bothered by the road being so close but did see the earplugs provided just in case. Very thoughtful.
Lovely apartment would recommend if staying in Nagiso. Thank you
The most comfortable beds we've slept in, in Japan!
Beautiful view from deck, and it was great staying in a traditional Japanese apartment.
It was a bit loud with traffic but host provided earplugs & I've lived on a main road before so I still slept.
(Blackout curtains would be a bonus to stop car lights shining in though).
We arrived on a Sunday night and all restaurants were closed or booked out but there is a well stocked 7-11 just up the road and we had a great meal from there.
