I visited to go to the monkey hot spring. It was a very clean and pleasant place. It's a little quiet and remote, but it's just as quiet and peaceful. It's a shame I arrived late and couldn't take a walk around. I left something behind, but the host contacted me right away and took proper steps. Thank you very much. It's a nice accommodation I'd like to stay for a few days. I recommend it.

Aki’s apartment looks as good as advertised.
Modern furnishing - big living room with big tv, wifi provided. Kitchen is fully furnished for cooking - pots, pan, microwave, rice cooker. Beds are comfortable, with toilet ensuite in both. I love the bathtub in the main bedroom!
Woke up to the lovely view every morning! Such a quiet and peaceful apartment!
Shuttle to the ski location everyday, making it really easy as the place was snowing quite a bit - less stressful for us whom are not used to such snowy conditions.
Aki is a wonderful and hospitable host - always there to help us when needed and giving us excellent recommendations around the area.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
Location, overlooking the gondola, in the snow, the absolute definition of ski in and out yet walking distance to restaurants. Excellent staff, Japanese family owned and operated, common area drying room. helpful on bookings, passes, transport, rentals. The real life images are better. Rooms much bigger than described.
Staff/reception friendliness and willingness to help with even the smallest thing. Wonderful, clean and modern apartment. Great central location in Akakura town.
Great Ryokan with delicious food and welcoming host family! They will help you with anything you need, including ski pass discount and a drive to the rental shop. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to the area.
The location is great. It is not a ski-in ski-out location but it is just a street over to the lift and gondola. The shuttle bus is also just across the street so very convenient. Even getting rental is just downstairs.
Other than being too busy to give us a ride from and to the train station, the staff were very accommodating and helpful with everything else. We had a great stay.
The bed was fantastic. It was like laying on clouds. Natural onsen was a plus too. The location is very convenient close to the ski lifts ans rental shops. STAFF was very helpful.
- 2min walk to chairlift and ski rental places, and loads of cute restaurants
- Great hot breakfasts every morning
- Traditional japanese rooms
- Carlo was really flexible in doing a concierge service to get us to other local resorts and the train station which was really helpful and cheaper than the taxi!
Breakfast was a good combination of Japanese and Western. Location was good, easy to walk to the slopes/shuttle bus stop. It was great that the hotel provided snow boots at the entrance. It was also useful to have a rental shop and ski school in the hotel, even though we didn't use those services. The shuttle bus to the train station was convenient.
