Everything about Happy Buddha is amazing! Cannot recommend it enough. All the staff were so so friendly and helpful, it's in a perfect location and the rooms are amazing. The bathrooms and bedrooms are super clean.
We stayed for quite a few nights and extended for an extra day we loved it so much! We've been in India for three months and this is one of the best places we have stayed.

This is a cozy little home away from home, located at a quaint location far enough from the cliff crowds to have some privacy whilst still being accessible. The place itself exudes this peaceful energy and the artwork in and around my room elevated the vibe of the place giving it a very attractive crafty feel to hit just the right mental notes. It's quite different from the other places I stayed in Varkala and I was so glad to have found it. A huge shoutout to the very warm and loving hosts, Avneeth and Anvitha, whose brainchild is this place. They've done an exquisite job with the terrace where I used to do surya namaskars everyday. I was fortunate enough to get a creative session of making Mandala art from Avneeth who made the whole process very humble to otherwise what appears to be a complicated artform. I ended up buying one of his art pieces and this is my first ever art purchase!!!. My conversations with Anvitha were incredible, something that I'm taking home with me to cherish. She also offered some homemade cake which was yum! I feel we need more Jambavans in the world and until then, this shall be my place of return when I am in Varkala next.

Everything was brilliant. The staff were amazing (especially Karthi!), the rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal. Karthi was kind enough to arrange everything we needed, he couldn’t do enough for us (and thanks for letting us have an extra Indian breakfast each morning!). The best place we have stayed so far in Kerala.
Rooms were spacious, clean and quite. Hosts (Damini and Anmol) were very polite and helpful to us. They can arrange rental scooter also if you ask them!! And will guide you the best places to explore in varkala.They made us feel comfortable! And arranged all the necessary things. This was exceptional experience. Apartment was in beautiful, picturesque, peaceful area. Just few steps from beach, about 20 minute walk to boulevard with many restaurants. Amazing view from balcony and silence at night. Apartment itself was really clean and nicely designed. There was many storage places for clothes, also AC, fan and very big bathroom.
Host was extremely helpful, kind and communicative.

Very spacious apartment with comfortable bed, nice kitchen with fridge and stove and lovely balcony. The location is great next to the Helipad from where you have easy access to the beach, cliffs and lots of restaurants and shops. Location was very quiet with a lot of plants and trees surrounding it and many birds and butterflies. Suji was very kind and helped us very well with all our enquiries.
We loved our short stay at Maadathil - it was in the perfect location, close enough to the action to walk, but far enough away that it was calm and relaxing, and right on the seafront.
The room was large and comfortable and the grounds were immaculate and well cared for. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again on a future trip to Varkala or to recommend to friends. Thank you for everything!
