The view was amazing, the loch on one side and the sheep on the other made it so picturesque. Ann and Mark were so helpful and responsive. We loved meeting Bob (the lurcher) and appreciated the wee dram we were left. The place was well stocked and thoughtfully laid out. It was quiet and we could see so man stars.

We spent a glorious three days at the Woodland Lodge, and really wish we could have stayed longer. This is not really an "apartment" it's more like a super fancy huge hotel suite. Everything was 5 star quality and above. Including free whisky ! The suite has so much room and so much storage. Bed is king size, with divine linens and amazingly comfortable. Curtains and furniture are beautiful and extremely tasteful. Bathroom is also very large with lots of storage and fantastic toiletries. There is a separate sitting room/dining room to spread out in, great TV coverage and fast internet too.
The cherry on top : the very large private terrace with the most gorgeous view. We spent time drinking wine out there. Loved it. It was always a wrench to leave our haven when we set off for the day, but what bliss to come back to it! The Old Inn a 5 minute drive down the hill is a great place to go for delicious pub food. Great atmosphere, we went there twice.
Another thing i appreciated is this suite is absolutely immaculate. So very clean and perfect. Smelled wonderful, but not with chemical smells. We really felt it was pristine.
As others have noted, there is no microwave and no toaster. Yes, they would be nice, but at the same time, I really appreciated how immaculate the suite was, and there were NO cooking smells! So all in all, I agree with the decision not to have them. It would have been too tempting to bring in takeout and microwave mediocre food. We had cereal, yogurt, fruit and scones for breakfast and did not miss the toaster or microwave at all. There is a pod coffeemaker and a french press for coffee, as well as an electric kettle. Tea and coffee, milk and lovely nibbles are provided as well. There is a large mini fridge too. It was all we needed. You leave your dishes outside in a crate, and during the day the lovely hostess Elizabeth washes them and sets them out for you again. Great system.

One of the best places on Sky. Beautiful apartment with fully equipped kitchen. The view out of the living room is amazing. I sat there for hours watching the light change.

This was a well-equipped and nicely decorated apartment on Skye. We liked the solitude of the location, walking with the sheep and along the water. The hosts are also very kind and there were many thoughtful touches like whiskey shots, chocolate, bread, and fresh milk waiting for us. We would certainly stay again and hope to do so. This was ideal.

The self catering apartment is amazing, well equipped with everything you could need like a home from home experience with beautiful luxury furnishings and complimentary toiletries, a log burner.Mark and Ann also left us a Beautiful bottle of bubbly and some treats also some fresh bread milk and butter.Mark also welcomed us on arrival and took the time to tell us about the local attractions. We really enjoyed our stay at Lochanside and the stunning views from our apartment window, definitely the place to be for a quiet time away.
