The view is amazing, the small log burner is so cozy, all the small details were thought of from a welcome dram to hot chocolate and marshmallows. Wifi connection, great shower, fluffy bedding, all the utensils required for self catering, Mark and Ann thought of everything. Can’t wait to come back.

The setting was beautiful. The spaciousness of the room, and the overall comfort. I really liked having a restaurant, bar and setting space so close by because the effort to go out and eat elsewhere was challenging with the state of main road to the property.

Wonderful view of Raasay outside of the cabin. You literally wake up looking at an inactive volcano. It’s right next to the ferry to Raasay if you felt like going over for a visit. About a 15-20 min drive to Portree. The cabin is modern and comfortable. If you cannot find reservations at a restaurant or, just feel like staying in for the evening there is a full kitchen set up. Great location to explore Skye.

The room arrangement fit our party perfectly with separate bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. The kitchen and living areas were both very spacious with up to date appliances. The location was perfect for exploring all the different areas on the Isle of Skye. I can not say enough good things about the host. She was easy to contact and even made some last minute allowances for mistakes I made when renting the apartment. I was super thankful for her kindness. Anyone looking for a place to stay on Skye should try Owlswood.

This place is superb, it far exceeded my expectations. We both loved the property, the grounds and the location. It offers a great base to easily explore the whole of the Isle of Skye and at the same time it felt so homely it was easy to just want to stay at the apartment and relax. It provides all the amenities you could ask for. The apartment we stayed in was 1 bedroom, but felt like it could house a family of 4 easily! The hosts were both friendly. I almost don't want to say any more, just book the place and find out for yourselves!
The host is nice and friendly. The apartment is superb, great size, well equipped and functioning. There's a garden in front of the room to enjoy some greenery. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed a lot.

The croft is a beautiful property and Tigh Dubh an extremely cosy retreat. The hand-picked furniture and decor, the little details, and the fireplace create a comforting atmosphere and make you feel right at home. Alistair's island tips were invaluable and helped us to replace some of the tourist hotspots with great alternatives. As a bonus, he even helped us pump up the tyre on our rental car, saving us a trip to the local petrol station.
Rarely I review with 10, but this place was worth it! Awesome room, stayed in Rum that was bigger than some flats. Stuff was lovely and helpful. We stayed as well for dinner which was absolutely delicious. Parking on side.
The apartment is bigger than the photos make it look, Lots of room to spread out and relaxing with a nice warm fire in the evenings. The kitchen has a selection of pans and utensils to knock up and easy meal. Its very warm an cosy, the bath was also a nice relaxing highlight. The raised bed stays nice and warm all night and its very comfy. The hosts are well organised and give good tips on local places to eat and shop.
Beautiful apartment: wonderfully appointed and having everything you could need to be comfortable. A real home from home! The hosts are very welcoming and seem to have thought of everything. The beds are extremely comfortable.
The location is great too, near enough to Portree and the sights of Skye. These is a great inn very close so you don’t have to drive to it, and a gourmet restaurant as well.
