As everyone says, Carlos is the best!!!
From the communication to the attention, Carlos ensured our first time to Tortuguero was a great experience. He had a river boat agent, Christian, be on the lookout for us at La Pavona to start the journey. Carlos met us at the Tortuguero dock, helped us to the apartment, and welcomed us with his empanadas.
Carlos introduced us to an excellent guide, a born local and educated naturalist, Boa, who provided a fantastic canoe tour and park tour that were insightful, educational, and personal. Boa also speaks excellent English and is fluent in Spanish, French, and Japanese. We were also lucky to see 3 giant green turtles nesting on the beach with a night guide.
Carlos and his wife lived right next door and provided daily attention above expectations. The apartment had great AC and all of our basic needs were met. A family friendly area that felt very safe. Thank you Carlos!

really lovely apartment in a quiet location. the garden actually overlooks the nature reserve. we saw frogs, iguanas, capuchins and 2 anteaters just sat on the verandah outside the apartment. the apartment was very clean and well equipped. the hosts Adriana and Rodrigo were very friendly and Adriana showed us the wildlife in the garden. Fabian, who works for the hosts, took us on a wonderful canoe trip along the river and channels and pointed out loads of wildlife. he's very knowledgeable and also so friendly. he also took us on a walk through the reserve, which was really interesting and pointed out so much wildlife, he's so enthusiastic, it was a joy to accompany him. you can arrange tours with him through the accommodation.

The room was super clean, cozy, and well-equipped.
It had an air-condition which I was craving for in the middle of jungle.
The bathroom is very clean. It did have a hot-water system but it only went up until 38 degrees Celsius.

The place was really nice to spend time in - you could see a lot of birds and an iguana from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and there was basically everything you needed.
It is outside, which is very nice and comfortable during the day, but the bugs do get a bit overwhelming in the eve. We were very okay with this setting, but it can be a lot for others so bear in mind!

The apartment was amazing and the budda cafe next to it had a really beautiful view of the lagoon (especially during sunset). You even got a welcome-drink to choose from many cocktails etc to enjoy for free at the cafe.
The apartment is clean, has air conditioner, kitchen and possibility to wash clothes. The host Carlos is very friendly and super helpful. Check in was possible at 7 am. Carlos also organized several tours
A very comfortable stay in the centre of Tortuguero. Although located on the main street it was very peaceful. The room was lovely and spacious and the little touches like a fridge and drinks equipment was very welcome. Comfortable beds. The apartment was also a good size and we enjoyed the covered outside seating areas which we could still enjoy when it was raining. The Budda cafe opposite was very good too. All in all we had a great stay thank you and we would definitely recommend and stay here again.
The host was very friendly and helpful, showing us where the local shop and drinking water supply was. Anything extra we needed for the kitchen he provided. Cleaned the apartment and bedding during our stay. He offered many other things and was very helpful all round. The property is in the heart of the local community and very close to the national park entrance, as well as an easy stroll into town or to the beach.

It’s a beautifully presented apartment and was spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic- in the centre of the Main Street. We used Budda Cafe - directly opposite and waterside. The quality of everything we had from there was excellent.
