Property was modern, well appointed and clean. Lounge looks out over the pool. Family members enjoyed an afternoon swim. Area is pleasant and quiet. Parking at the rear was always available. Great apartment, 100% matching the descriptions, we've enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment is located inside a building complex that share facilities as pools, gyms and parking. The apartment is quite new and offered all amenities our group of 4 adults needed. It was very clean and had a well-equipped kitchen, a comfy living room and a spacious balcony. There were several shared hot tubs in the complex and a pool that were accessible throughout the day. The property has a 24/7 reception which allowed us to conveniently check-in any time. Parking is no problem at all. Tiffani is a great host, we received very quick solutions to any questions or problems we've had. Great experience in every aspect, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great location, spacious and clean room. Comforable bed. Very detailed instruction and introduction text messages. They even offer free banff ticket while you stay.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
Loft apartment was fine for a family of 5. The upstairs bedroom was great for the kids. Happy with the location and the staff were friendly. Appreciated the free bus passes (although it’s not too bad a walk into town if you don’t mind a few steps and probably quicker than queuing for the bus at busy times). Really handy to be able to hire bikes and the staff were very helpful in finding a fifth bike for us from a neighbouring property.
The amenities were good with good quality eg hand soap, body lotion, shower gels, tissue box etc. There were enough kitchen utensils for us to do simple cooking. The room has enough space for a family with two washroom. Kids like the loft and enjoyed having their own spaces. There are 3 tv in the apartment which was nice. Parking was convenient just outside the apartment. Location was good with a bus stop just outside the resort to go to downtown. The room was clean as housekeeping did a great job.
Great location in Banff right near Bear Street which has great bars, cafes and restaurants. Still an easy walk to the main drag, but you don't need to go anywhere else. If you've hired a rental car, it's an easy exit off the Trans Canada Highway, a short drive to Lynx Street and parking is right under the hotel. Laundry facilities downstairs which is handy if you've been on the road for a while! We ended paying to upgrade our initial booking to a loft room with bigger windows and a view. (see comments below)
Very comfortable, clean apartment with plenty of space, includes a kitchen that has all the essentials for a short stay. Friendly staff. Very good value, would be happy to stay here again.
We stayed in a standard studio room and were really surprised by the large size of it. I would call it a 1 bedroom apartment with balcony. The Resort provides guests with free return bus tickets into town and the bus stop is right out front.
Really central location in Banff, great facilities and lovely to have the lounge area when travelling as a group. The beds were amazingly comfortable!
The garage parking is really convenient if your car will go under the height restriction… I wish I’d properly read this before we picked up our rental as we ended up having to park on the street and carry our luggage, when we could’ve parked almost outside the apartment door, but that’s our fault!
We really enjoyed the loft apartment. The location, kitchen facilities and fire place made for a very relaxing stay and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The supply of board games also made for some fun evenings! Although it is in walking distance to Banff, we greatly appreciated the supply of bus passes and the ease of access to public transport, which made it so easy to get around. With regular transfers available from Calgary, there is no need for a car at all!
The Douglas Fir Resort is located on the flank of Tunnel Mountain with wonderful views of forest and nearby peaks. Hiking trails lead directly from the site.
We were generally comfortable here.
We enjoyed using the fireplace in our condo unit, and being able to cook our meals; all kitchen appliances were in good order. Our rooms provided the space and furnishings/ accoutrements we needed for our stay.
Staff were helpful in letting us change our unit when we checked in and supplying us with supplementary blankets.
