We liked everything about the unit. Very nice, clean. Walking distance to historical center, train station, bus station, eating areas, groceries. Google street images have not been updated in a few years and the Faro Guest house did not show on the street photos. I was happily surprised to see that many buildings in the neighborhood had been upgraded and look much nicer. Staff was nice and helpful. we had wonderful stay.

The location was excellent, being just a short walk to the pedestrian area of the city, the harbour, bus depot and train station. My sister and I were here for 2 weeks and having visited other towns in the region felt that Faro was the correct choice with options, amenities and ease of access, initially as well as for day trips and activities. Claudia and her staff were so friendly and helpful with advise, suggestions and in accommodating our preferences. Our 2 bedroom unit was exceptional with everything we needed to feel right at home, enjoying a number of meals “at home” …although it was hard to resist the many tempting options available and so close at hand.
